Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Lab Database Administrator I to join our team in Harrogate, United Kingdom with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule!\nWork Schedule\nMonday - Friday, 8am - 5pm\nJob Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain and support global laboratory database systems, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.\nProvide backup support for the Testing Enablement Lab Database (TELD) Coordinator and assist with onboarding and training of new team members.\nMonitor database performance metrics, identify trends or variances, and escalate issues as appropriate.\nContribute to operational planning, budgeting activities, and cross-functional initiatives across the Clinical Laboratory Services (CLS) organization.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, customer focus, and operational excellence.\nPrepare and deliver monthly activity and performance reports.\nUndertake additional responsibilities and higher-level assignments based on business needs.\nDatabase Administration Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain expertise in assigned laboratory database systems, with opportunities to expand knowledge across multiple Testing Enablement databases.\nPartner with global laboratories and remote sites to troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve database-related issues.\nBuild, configure, maintain, and enhance global database definitions and system setups.\nEnsure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance within designated database systems.\nCreate, update, and maintain test codes, result codes, cancellation codes, comment codes, units of measure, conversion factors, analysis tables, reference ranges, calculations, and reflex testing protocols.\nSupport data integrity, system accuracy, and standardization across global laboratory operations.\nWhat We're Looking For\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused mindset.\nExperience supporting database administration, configuration, and maintenance activities.\nCommitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS, MT (or equivalent) with one (1) year clinical laboratory experience, or BS, science (or equivalent) with two (2) years clinical laboratory experience, or an AS, MLT (or equivalent) with three (3) years clinical laboratory experience or a minimum of 6 to 9 months successful experience as Associate Technical Administrator or a minimum of one (1) year of successful Senior QC Administrator experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMT (Medical Technologist) and one year experience or MLT (Medical Laboratory Technologist) and two years’ experience\nCLS bench experience\nFluent in English, French (Europe only)\nAdditional Job Standards\nStrong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to multi-task\nAbility to work Independently\nAttention to detail\nLabcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:\nLabcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
