Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer for a dynamic team.\nWork Schedule:\nThis is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe individual in this role will be responsible for:\nPreparing detailed specifications for instrument interfaces, middleware platforms, supporting services, programs and/or applications.\nDesigning, coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting these interfaces, services, programs and applications.\nAnalyzing, reviewing, and altering programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt new requirements.\nAssisting with the support and maintenance of systems and applications.\nProviding on call support for production systems.\nProviding support during and post system implementations and conversions.\nConsulting with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree\n5 or more years' of experience developing applications for the Windows Family of OSs using Client Server or Web based architecture\n7 or more years of experience with JPA/ORM (Hibernate), Junit, SQL, XML/XSD, JSON experience, Cache’, Oracle, Iris for Health\n5 or more years' experience and solid troubleshooting skills for enterprise level production systems, to include instrument interfaces, middleware platforms and Laboratory Information Systems.\n5 or more years' experience with the ability to develop within InterSystems Cache’/Iris for Health and Windows applications.\n5 or more years' experience with the ability to develop within Laboratory Information Systems, instrument interfaces, and middleware platforms.\n5 or more years' experience with the ability to develop technical design documentation using Microsoft Word, Visio and other tools.\n5 or more years' experience with the ability to perform data modeling and system configuration.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCurrent or prior Labcorp experience\n5 or more years' of experience with Java Messaging Service \n5 or more years' of experience with WebLogic/WebSphere \n5 or more years' of experience with RESTful Web Services \n5 or more years' of experience with Java and Spring and Angular 2.X or later experience\n Additional Job Standards:\nWorking knowledge with CSP and Web Services.\nAbility to take initiative to learn existing applications through reviewing code and analyzing data.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).\nExperience in Healthcare applications and systems.\nApplication Window: 10/16/2026 through 10/20/2026\nPay Range: $75,000 - $140,000/yr\nAll job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
