Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nScientist II\nLabcorp is seeking a Scientist II to join our team in Shanghai, China.\nJob Responsibilities:\nIndependently performs routine sample preparation and analysis following approved methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.\nAccurately documents experimental procedures, results, and observations in accordance with GxP documentation standards.\nPerforms basic QC review of data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.\nIndependently operates standard laboratory equipment and performs routine setup and maintenance according to SOPs.\nIdentifies common technical issues (e.g., instrument variability, sample handling errors) and performs basic troubleshooting.\nEscalates complex or unresolved issues to senior staff in a timely manner.\nSupports method execution and participates in method optimization activities under guidance.\nInterprets routine experimental data and reports findings clearly.\nMay assist in training or guiding less experienced staff on routine procedures.\nMaintains laboratory cleanliness and ensures compliance with safety and EHS requirements.\nActively participates in process improvement initiatives within own work scope.\nCollaborates effectively within the team to ensure smooth laboratory operations.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.\n2 years’ experience in a regulated or bioanalytical laboratory environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliar with standard laboratory techniques and workflows.\nExperience with analytical instrumentation.\nBasic understanding of regulated environments (GLP/GCP/GCLP).\nGood data integrity awareness and documentation practices.\nAdditional Job Standards:\nIndependent execution of routine laboratory techniques.\nAbility to identify and resolve common technical issues.\nBasic data interpretation and QC awareness.\nStrong attention to detail and data accuracy.\nGood organizational and time management skills.\nEffective communication within the team.\nWillingness to learn and continuously improve.\nAble to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.\nBasic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).\nAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
