Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nScientist III\nLabcorp is seeking a Scientist III to join our team in Shanghai, China.\nJob Responsibilities:\nIndependently conducts routine and non-routine laboratory analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.\nPerforms complex analytical testing, including use of unfamiliar techniques with limited guidance.\nIdentifies technical issues and leads troubleshooting activities for non-standard problems.\nEvaluates analytical data and provides scientifically sound interpretation and recommendations.\nPerforms QC review to ensure data integrity and compliance.\nSupports and partially leads method development, validation, and optimization activities.\nSuggests modifications to analytical methods, procedures, or workflows based on data and observations.\nAssists in drafting and updating methods, SOPs, and technical documents.\nIndependently operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments.\nPerforms routine and non-routine maintenance and identifies equipment issues.\nParticipates in equipment qualification, verification, and performance monitoring.\nMaintains accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with GxP requirements.\nEnsures adherence to SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and data integrity standards.\nEscalates deviations and contributes to root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nProvides guidance and training to junior staff on laboratory techniques and procedures.\nAssists in improving team technical capability through knowledge sharing.\nCollaborates effectively with internal teams and contributes to a positive lab environment.\nIdentifies process improvement opportunities within laboratory workflows.\nContributes to improved efficiency, quality, and reliability of analytical processes.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in biology, medicine or other analytical fields.\n3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, MS-Access and Outlook).\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3 or more years of experience in large molecule bioanalysis.\nFamiliar with the use of standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges).\nExperience with analytical instrumentation.\nActs as a technical resource for the department (troubleshooting, method development, qualification, maintenance and training).\nAdditional Job Standards:\nEvaluates data for incorporation into written reports.\nCompletes project assignments on time with minimal supervision.\nKnowledgeable on a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology.\nAble to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.\nActs as a project leader with guidance as needed.\nAble to perform complex analysis using unfamiliar or new methods.\nAbility to assist in the preparation of relevant sections of final reports.\nAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
