Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLS) to join our microbiology team at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's - Woman's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.\nWork Schedule: 1st shift; 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and holiday rotation.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDeterminethe acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria\n\nPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures\n\nMonitor,operateandtroubleshootinstrumentation to ensure proper functionality\n\nDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisionsregardingtesting and problem solving.\n\nPrepare,testand evaluate new reagents or controls\n\nReportaccurateandtimelytest resultsin order todeliver quality patient care\n\nPerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures\n\nIdentifyand replenish testing bench supplies as necessary\n\nAssistwith processing of specimens when needed\n\nMaintain a safe work environment and wearappropriate personalprotective equipment\n\nMinimumQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science,Medical Technology\n\n1 yearor moreof clinical laboratory testing experienceOR an MLS degree\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1 year or more of experience working in microbiology as a MLS\n\nASCP or AMT certification\n\nAdditionalJobStandards:\nIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet educationrequirement\n\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment\n\nFamiliarity with laboratory information systems\n\nProficient with computers\n\nHigh levelof attention detail along withstrong communicationand organizational skills\n\nAble to pass a standardized color blindness test\n\nFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs\n\nAtLabcorpwe have a passioninhelping people live happy and healthy lives.
