About This Role

As an Electrician II at Biogen, you will support the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure and equipment across our manufacturing, laboratory, and facilities operations.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical issues, and support improvements to electrical systems and equipment. You will also contribute to engineering projects and system upgrades while working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other site teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical infrastructure, power distribution systems, automated systems, and supporting equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Work on low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, following approved safety procedures and authorization requirements.
  • Carry out electrical switching, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other electrical safety activities.

  • Participate in the site’s on-call rotation to support operational continuity.

Who You Are

You are a qualified electrician with a hands-on approach and strong troubleshooting skills. You enjoy solving technical problems, working with industrial equipment, and ensuring electrical systems operate safely and reliably.

You are comfortable working independently while collaborating with colleagues across different technical functions. You follow established safety procedures, take ownership of your work, and understand the importance of accurate documentation.

You bring a structured, reliable approach to maintenance activities and are willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Required Skills

  • Completed apprenticeship as an Electrical Installer EFZ (Elektroinstallateur EFZ) or an equivalent recognized electrical qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience working under the supervision of a qualified electrical professional (fachkundige Leitung).
