Working in a regulated pharmaceutical environment, you will help ensure equipment reliability, operational continuity, and compliance with safety and quality standards.\nYou will also contribute to engineering projects and system upgrades while working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other site teams.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical infrastructure, power distribution systems, automated systems, and supporting equipment.\nDiagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.\nWork on low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, following approved safety procedures and authorization requirements.\nCarry out electrical switching, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other electrical safety activities.\nMonitor equipment performance, record operational readings, and investigate alarms or technical issues.\nSupport engineering projects, equipment upgrades, system improvements, and plant modifications.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nEnsure maintenance activities comply with GMP, electrical safety, and quality requirements.\nCollaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues.\nParticipate in the site’s on-call rotation to support operational continuity.\nWho You Are\nYou are a qualified electrician with a hands-on approach and strong troubleshooting skills. You enjoy solving technical problems, working with industrial equipment, and ensuring electrical systems operate safely and reliably.\nYou are comfortable working independently while collaborating with colleagues across different technical functions. You follow established safety procedures, take ownership of your work, and understand the importance of accurate documentation.\nYou bring a structured, reliable approach to maintenance activities and are willing to participate in an on-call rotation.\nRequired Skills\nCompleted apprenticeship as an Electrical Installer EFZ (Elektroinstallateur EFZ) or an equivalent recognized electrical qualification.\nMinimum 3 years of professional experience working under the supervision of a qualified electrical professional (fachkundige Leitung).\nPractical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.\nKnowledge of low-voltage electrical systems; experience with medium-voltage systems is an advantage.\nUnderstanding of electrical switching, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety procedures.\nExperience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.\nAbility to identify technical faults and implement effective corrective actions.\nGood IT skills and willingness to work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nGood communication skills in English (minimum B1 CEFR); German is an advantage.\nWillingness to participate in the on-call duty rotation.\nJob Level: Entry LevelWhy Biogen?\nWe are a global team with a commitment to excellence, and a pioneering spirit.
