The ideal candidate will combine strong scientific expertise with entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.\nLeads identification of unmet medical needs and the development of medical plan for pipeline assets\nDrives evidence generation to contribute advancement of science related to therapeutic area of pipeline assets\nKME engagement to optimize scientific knowledge exchange\nProvides internal education of pipeline assets to the employees\nJob Description\nIdentification of Unmet Medical Needs and Development of Medical Plan\nIdentify unmet medical needs for respective therapeutic areas based on scientific data, clinical evidence, KME insights, and evolving standards of care.\nDevelop and implement local medical plans for pipeline assets, aligned with Global and BIR priorities.\nLead cross-functional medical planning, ensuring integration with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, and Commercial teams.\nData Generation & Dissemination\nLead local medical input into evidence generation strategy, such as real-world evidence, registries, and investigator-initiated research.Identify and prioritize evidence gaps relevant to local clinical practice and payer needs for pipeline assets.\nCollaborate with Global/BIR/Development teams to shape Phase IV and post-approval evidence plans.\nCreate scientific quality of study concepts, protocols, and key medical documents.\nResponsible for the study execution\n\nDisseminate clinical study data at relevant medical congress to facilitate understanding of pipeline assets.\nKME Engagement\nManage strategic relationships with Key Medical Experts (KMEs) to drive medical strategy and evidence generation.Identify the KMEs\nConduct focused, compliant scientific exchange to validate unmet needs and emerging treatment paradigms.\nConduct advisory boards and high-level scientific engagements where strategic medical input is required.\n\nMaintain a KME mapping and engagement plan aligned with medical objectives.\nScientific & Educational Support\nProvide scientific expertise and educational support to internal stakeholders.\nInterpret and communicate complex scientific data, publications, and clinical evidence relevant to pipeline products.\nSupport medical training, scientific education, and disease awareness initiatives.\nConduct scientific material review\nMinimum Education Requirements\nPhD in scientific discipline or equivalent scientific expertise.\nAdvanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred or equivalent scientific expertise.\nMinimum Experience Requirements\n3 years of working experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related pharmaceutical roles.\nProven experience in medical strategy development, evidence generation, and cross-functional collaboration.\nFluent in English; local language proficiency required as applicable.\nStrong scientific expertise in immunology, or relevant therapeutic areas\nKnowledge & Skills Requirements\nStrategic thinking and decision-making capability.\nAbility to synthesize complex scientific data into clear strategic direction.\nExcellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.\nMental resilience in challenging situations.\nAbility to influence without direct authority in a matrix organization.\nJob Level: ManagementWhy Biogen?\nWe are a global team with a commitment to excellence, and a pioneering spirit.
