The ideal candidate will have demonstrated hands-on experience in an industrial laboratory, project management experience including vendor management and person in plant experience. You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team. The team supports the mission in the development of green, safe, and cost-effective batch and continuous chemical processes to produce active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for clinical and commercial purposes.\nWhat You’ll Do \n\nPerform equipment setup, conduct experiments, perform data analysis, write reports and procedures. \nParticipate in team discussions on setting experimental objectives and prepare experimental designs and plans. \nDesign well thought out chemical experiments, perform them in the laboratory, analyze and interpret data generated to develop a scalable process. \nMentor junior scientists and build external collaborations to design experiments and interpret data to develop scalable processes \nLearn, evaluate and identify new technologies relevant to CPD activities \nSupport the transfer of process technology to external development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs)\nManage key equipment, instrumentation, and their regular maintenance and repairs\n10% domestic and international travel may be required.\nWho You Are\nYou are a passionate and experienced scientist with drug development experience. Bring your unique talents and interests to Biogen and together we will foster scientific and process innovation.\nRequired Skills\nPh.D. in Chemistry and 4+ years of industry experience.
