The role is responsible for leading affiliate planning, forecasting, business performance management, supply chain financial oversight, and decision support activities. The Senior Manager provides financial insights that influence commercial and operational strategies while ensuring effective financial governance, planning accuracy, and execution of affiliate priorities.\nThe Senior Manager, Affiliate Finance is accountable for maintaining accurate financial data, supporting commercial and operating expense planning, supporting Patient Service Program (PSP) and Distribution COGS reporting, coordinating supply chain activities with third-party logistics providers, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The role also supports affiliate planning cycles, accrual management, and continuous process improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with company policies and financial controls.\nHybrid setting requiring working in person at our offices in Toronto. This is a 12 month Fixed Term contract,\nThis job posting is for an existing vacancy in the organization.\nWhat You’ll Do\nFinancial Operations & Reporting\nPrepare and distribute weekly sales reports, monthly financial reports, and expense reporting packages.\nCollaborate with functional teams to ensure accurate and timely inputs, providing real-time visibility into financial performance.\nPrepare comprehensive and accurate financial reports and analytics.\nMaintain the integrity and accuracy of affiliate financial records, general ledger balances, and P&L reporting.\nAnalyze financial results and variances, identifying issues requiring investigation or corrective action.\nPrepare financial reporting packages and support management reporting requirements.\nfinancial results.\nCoordinate audit requests and maintain documentation supporting internal and external reviews.\nImplement strategies to manage and optimize operating expenses, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and long-term vision\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and financial control requirements.\nPlanning, Forecasting & Budget Management\nSupport annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for the various therapeutic areas.\nPrepare and Lead financial assessments and scenario modeling and discussions to support strategic business decisions.\nMaintain affiliate operating expense budgets and monitor ongoing spend against plan.\nSupport financial forecasting activities through collection, validation, and analysis of business assumptions.\nAssist with tracking business performance metrics and planning deliverables.\nMaintain headcount and operating expense tracking to support planning and reporting requirements.\nSupport scenario analysis and financial modeling as required.\nProcess Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership\nIdentify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.\nPartner with Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Global Business Services teams to support operational and financial objectives.\nSupport the Associate Director, FP&A and Head of Finance in planning cycles, reporting requirements, and strategic initiatives.\nContribute to continuous improvement of affiliate finance processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.\nPerform company business in compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and procedures.\nAll other duties are required.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics or a related field\nCPA designation required; CFA designation is considered an asset\n7-10 years progressive finance experience, Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industry experience considered an asset.\nExperience supporting senior leadership.\nExperience in Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership\nExperience identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.\nDemonstrated ability to influence decisions without authority\nExperience in pharma, biotech, or closely related industry highly preferred.\nLanguage(s)\nFluent in English, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally spanning all levels of the organization.\nSkills\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into business insights.\nStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.\nResults-oriented with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.\nHigh degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.\nAbility to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams\nAbility to work across multiple digital platforms and early adoption of new systems/applications.\nThe expected salary range for this position is $122,000 to $163,000.
