The Finance Analyst will work closely with the Head of Finance and other Finance team members and will interact with relevant business stakeholders to understand financial performance and translate operational developments into financial insights.\nThis role is suitable for someone who already has solid experience in financial analysis, FP&A, controlling or a similar finance role and is ready to work with a good degree of independence, without this being a senior or managerial position.\nKey responsibilities\nFinancial forecasting & planning\nPrepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts, including P&L and relevant underlying operational drivers.\nCoordinate collection and validation of forecasting inputs from Finance and business stakeholders.\nAnalyse changes between actuals, previous forecasts, budget and other relevant planning scenarios.\nIdentify and explain key financial variances and changes in business performance.\nSupport scenario modelling and ad-hoc financial analyses for management.\nContinuously improve forecasting accuracy, structure and efficiency.\nForecasting tools & financial models\nSupport the ownership and day-to-day administration of the company's financial forecasting and planning tools.\nMaintain financial models, assumptions, mappings and reporting structures used in forecasting.\nEnsure consistency between source financial data, forecasting models and management reporting.\nIdentify opportunities to automate or simplify recurring forecasting and analytical processes.\nParticipate in implementation, improvement or further development of FP&A and reporting solutions.\nBudgeting\nParticipate in the annual budgeting process, including preparation of templates, assumptions and financial models.\nWork with Finance and relevant business stakeholders to collect and challenge budget inputs.\nConsolidate budget information and support preparation of the overall company budget.\nAnalyse budget movements and support preparation of management-level budget materials.\nMonthly financial analysis & management reporting\nPrepare recurring monthly analytical reporting covering financial performance and key business drivers.\nPerform actual vs. budget, actual vs. forecast and forecast vs. previous forecast analysis.\nInvestigate significant variances and provide clear explanations of underlying drivers.\nDevelop additional analytical views that help management understand financial and operational performance.\nSupport preparation of monthly management and Group reporting materials where required.\nPerform ad-hoc financial analyses requested by Finance management.\nRequirements\nExperience\nApproximately 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in FP&A, financial controlling, management reporting, financial analysis or a similar finance role.\nPractical experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.\nExperience working with financial models and recurring management reporting.\nExperience working with P&L structures and understanding the relationship between operational drivers and financial results.\nTechnical skills\nStrong Excel skills, including financial modelling, data analysis and working with larger datasets.\nExperience with financial planning, forecasting, ERP or BI/reporting tools.\nAbility to work with and reconcile data coming from multiple sources.\nComfortable learning new finance systems and becoming a capable user/administrator of forecasting tools.\nExperience with Power BI, Power Query or similar analytical/reporting tools would be an advantage.\nProfessional capabilities\nStrong analytical skills and ability to understand the drivers behind financial results rather than only produce reports.\nGood attention to detail while being able to identify the key message behind the numbers.\nAbility to independently structure analysis and investigate discrepancies.\nComfortable working with deadlines associated with monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting cycles.\nAbility to communicate financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.\nProactive approach to improving existing processes and
