In this hands-on position, you’ll use precision hand tools and measurement equipment to deburr, sand, polish, and finish parts throughout the manufacturing process. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys hands-on work, and is committed to quality and attention to detail.\nWatch this short video here to see what we do!\nWhat You’ll Do\nDeburr, sand, polish, and finish manufactured parts to meet quality and cosmetic standards.\nUse small hand tools to remove imperfections and improve the appearance and finish of parts.\nRead and understand information provided on shop job travelers and follow documented work instructions.\nUse basic precision measurement tools to verify parts meet specifications.\nTrack and compare estimated job times with actual production times to help improve manufacturing processes.\nFollow standardized work procedures, safety requirements, and specific instructions provided by your supervisor.\nMaintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nStrong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.\nAbility to work carefully and consistently with small hand tools.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow written instructions.\nComfort using basic measurement tools or willingness to learn.\nDependable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a manufacturing team.\nPrevious manufacturing, finishing, deburring, sanding, polishing, or similar hands-on experience is a plus.\nWhy This Role Matters\nThe quality of the finished product starts with the details. As a Finishing Operator, you’ll help ensure every part leaving the manufacturing process meets our standards for quality, appearance, and precision. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail directly contribute to the quality our customers receive.\nRequirements\nJob Requirements\nBasic math skills.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.\nUnderstands processes used in removing scratches, excess weld material, and burs.\nHigh degree of manual dexterity while using a microscope.\nThe use of a microscope is required for up to 8 hours per day.\nSitting for a long period up to 8 hours per day.\nStrong written & oral communication skills to support business needs in an English-speaking environment.\nAbility to effectively communicate with employees of the organization.\nAbility to understand how their actions may affect other portions of the business.\nHours: Tuesday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm and Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm\nWhy Join Biomerics?\nAt Biomerics, you will be part of a collaborative and growth-oriented organization dedicated to improving lives through innovation and manufacturing excellence.
