Laser/Swiss machining enables features to be machined, and laser cut in the same process. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability. Traditional Swiss screw machining capability is also available for rapid prototyping and production.\nIn addition, Biomerics utilizes five axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components, while holding extremely tight tolerances.\nJob Description: Responsible for ensuring product being produced meets customer requirements. Utilizes basic inspection tools, gauges and other equipment to perform first article, in-process and last article inspections. Records inspection data on forms. Interfaces with production to provide timely inspections and resolve issues. Interfaces with customers when needed.\nRepresentative Responsibilities:\nConducts first article, in-process and last article inspections for machine operators.\nWorks with other inspectors to ensure timely inspections of all departments.\nReads blue prints to ensure proper inspections methods and tools.\nInterfaces with customers as needed.\nPerforms material movement, inspection data gathering and reporting as needed.\nDocuments NCRs as necessary.\nPromotes the inspection department as a valued resource and not just a problem finder.\nCompletes inspection forms in a neat and professional manner.\nWorks effectively under a time restricted environment at times.\nDevelops inspection checklist sheets as necessary.\nObtains any additional documents from customers to ensure proper inspections.\nPerforms visual inspections as needed.\nHelps ensure nonconforming material is labeled properly.\nUnderstands how inspections fit into the production Process Maps.\nPerforms incoming inspection as necessary.\nParticipates in product dispositions as necessary.\nKeeps work area organized and promotes good housekeeping.\nFollows applicable QMS Documents, Procedures, and Process Maps.\nOther duties as required.\nUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.\nRequirements\nDesired Skills, Talents, and Qualifications:\n3+ years of experience as a Quality Operator or Inspector in a machining or high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.\nEducational background in light industrial trades and/or in a post-secondary vocational program is a plus.\nProficiency utilizing microscopes for visual inspection is strongly preferred.\nProficiency utilizing a wide range of measuring instruments; experience with CMM's, video measurement systems, comparators, height gages strongly preferred.\nMust have GD&T knowledge\nDemonstrated research and documentation skills.\nStrong math skills\nAnalytical ability\nDetail orientation\nBackground in promoting process improvement\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nAbility to interface with customers to troubleshoot issues and offer exceptional service\nBackground in safety promotion and management\n\"Equal Opportunity Employer: Minority, Female, Protected Veteran, Individual with Disabilities are encouraged to apply.\"\nBenefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, 401k\nPlease, No Recruitment Agency calls or emails (we are not using recruitment services for this, or any other role posted).\nBiomerics does not accept non-solicited resumes or candidate submittals from search/recruiting agencies not already on Biomerics approved agency list.
