Laser/Swiss machining enables features to be machined, and laser cut in the same process. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability. Traditional Swiss screw machining capability is also available for rapid prototyping and production.\nIn addition, Biomerics utilizes five axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components, while holding extremely tight tolerances.\nJob Description: We are always looking for talented Quality Operators to assist in advancing our quality objectives to produce parts to customer specifications every time and on time and to continually improve the effectiveness of our quality management system. The successful applicant will be an excellent team player, possess exceptional analytical skills, and the drive to continually learn and grow with the company.\nRepresentative Responsibilities:\nReads and understand blueprints and specifications\nApproves incoming, in-process, and finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisors, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.\nMay function as a point of contact to confer about issues as appropriate.\nUtilizes microscope at 10-30X magnification to ensure high-quality products with no visual defects\nUtilizes measuring instruments such as video measurement systems, comparators, height gages, microscopes, CMM's, and handheld gauges and tools.\nDiscusses inspection results with those responsible for products.\nDocuments inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing rework and waste; inputting data into a quality database.\nSupport the established QMS/QA processes and as needed working with internal resources to recommend a change to maintain high-quality processes.\nMaintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.\nUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.\nRequirements\nDesired Skills, Talents, and Qualifications:\n3+ years of experience as a Quality Operator or Inspector in a machining or high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.\nEducational background in light industrial trades and/or in a post-secondary vocational program is a plus.\nProficiency utilizing microscopes for visual inspection is strongly preferred.\nProficiency utilizing a wide range of measuring instruments; experience with CMM's, video measurement systems, comparators, height gages strongly preferred.\nMust have GD&T knowledge\nDemonstrated research and documentation skills.\nStrong math skills\nAnalytical ability\nDetail orientation\nBackground in promoting process improvement\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nAbility to interface with customers to troubleshoot issues and offer exceptional service\nBackground in safety promotion and management\n\"Equal Opportunity Employer: Minority, Female, Protected Veteran, Individual with Disabilities are encouraged to apply.\"\nBenefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, 401k\nPlease, No Recruitment Agency calls or emails (we are not using recruitment services for this, or any other role posted).\nBiomerics does not accept non-solicited resumes or candidate submittals from search/recruiting agencies not already on Biomerics approved agency list.
