This role performs testing and data review, evaluates results against established specifications, and helps identify and address quality issues.\nThe QC Analyst works closely with cross-functional partners to support production continuity, customer satisfaction, regulatory and quality requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nPerform testing of product lots in accordance with established procedures and specifications.\nReview testing data and help prioritize lots to support timely product release and manufacturing schedules.\nPerform environmental monitoring activities, including subculturing and organism identification.\nGenerate accurate and reliable test results and evaluate results against established specifications.\nIdentify and appropriately escalate quality issues.\nInitiate Quality Event reports related to Finished Good testing and the Environmental Monitoring Program.\nInitiate and perform Quality Control Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations.\nSupport continuous improvement activities within Quality Control.\nAssist with 5S activities and supply replenishment.\nSupport SOP updates, special projects, and other departmental activities as needed.\nIdentify potential safety hazards, follow applicable safety procedures, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nPerform work in accordance with established company quality procedures, standards, and requirements.\nEducation and Experience\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n4+ years of Quality Control or Lab experience. \nPreferred\nBachelor’s degree in Life Sciences \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nDemonstrated ethical conduct.\nIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.\nKnowledge of aseptic practices and microbiology techniques.\nMicropipetting skills.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements\nThis position works in production and laboratory environments and requires the use of appropriate PPE. Work may involve stationary activities, stairs or ladders, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Laboratory and production environments may be cool, low-humidity, noisy, or occasionally have noticeable odors. Excellent hygiene is required\nThe estimated wage range for this role based in Illinois between $22.70 - 34.10. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living.
