You will work closely with the founding/product/engineering team to design, build, and scale backend services powering Biopeak's technology platform.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.\nBuild robust RESTful APIs and backend systems for product features.\nWork closely with product, frontend, data, and business teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions.\nDesign efficient database schemas, queries, and data models.\nBuild integrations with internal and third-party systems/APIs.\nFocus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.\nParticipate in architecture and technical design discussions.\nDebug production issues and proactively improve system reliability.\nContribute to engineering practices, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.\nTake ownership of features from problem understanding, design development, deployment, and monitoring.\nRequirements:\nCurrently working with or has previously worked at a product company, consumer-tech company, SaaS company, or early-stage startup.\nHas built products/features that are live in production.\nComfortable working with ambiguity and changing requirements.\nStrong ownership mindset: someone who can independently take a feature from idea to production.\nEnjoys working in small, high-performing engineering teams.\nStrong coding fundamentals and engineering judgment.\nSomeone who wants to build 01 and 110 products, rather than work in a large process-heavy environment.\nMust-Have Skills:\n3-5 years of strong backend engineering experience.\nStrong proficiency in Python / Node.js / Java / Go or another modern backend language.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and distributed systems fundamentals.\nHands-on experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.\nExperience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Redis is a plus.\nGood understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS/GCP.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD, and production deployments.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nExperience building and scaling production-grade applications.\nPreferred Background:\nCandidates from product-led companies, SaaS startups, consumer-tech companies, fintech, health-tech, AI/ML, or other technology startups are preferred.\nNot preferred: Candidates whose experience is predominantly from traditional IT services/outsourcing companies without significant product-building
