We are continually looking for talented engineers, scientists, and professionals to share in our mission.\nPlease join us as:\n[[title]]\nThe Staff Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and qualifying new processes and equipment used in the assembly of an electronic module with sustainability and profitability considered. Responsibilities include specification and implementation of process control procedures, selection and introduction of new processes and equipment to improve production efficiencies and support manufacturing as well as company objectives. He or she will interact with internal and external customers regarding product design and development to ensure that processes and designs are compatible. This position develops manufacturing processes for new products and platforms, transitions products from development to manufacturing, creates validation plans and completes validation activities, identifies and improves manufacturing methods, and identifies and improves production yields.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead manufacturing process development. \nDevelops and performs experiments/DOEs to optimize and qualify new processes.\nIdentify and implement automation, semi-automation, and handling improvement opportunities. \nDefine requirements and specifications for processes and equipment. \nModel and simulate manufacturing flows. \nSpecify, evaluate, select, and implement new equipment. \nIdentify and implement optimization of equipment or process performance for efficiency and capacity. \nIntegrate Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with manufacturing equipment. \nDevelop and deploy performance information systems based on MES or interface software. \nSpecify and execute installation, operation, and production qualification plans. \nAssess, specify and deploy process control procedures.\nOther duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager\nLead technical activities for simple to complex processes often on critical processes or systems.\nDevelop new and innovative ideas that show competitive promise.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nB.S. Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent.\nFive + years of experience in electronics manufacturing (SMT preferred).\nExperience with statistical methodologies (such as Design of Experiments) for problem solving and optimization.\nKnowledge of materials used in electronics manufacturing.\nExperience in automated equipment implementation and support.\nAutomated assembly equipment experience.\nMachine programs experience.\nQualification procedures experience.\nProject management experience.\nExperience creating and managing project plans.\nAbility to develop and present proposals to peers and management.\nUnderstanding of problem-solving methodologies.\nAbility to work with all levels of the company.\nStrategic development skills.\nEquipment and process roadmaps.\nAbility to identify equipment / automation solutions.\nAbility to contribute to manufacturing strategy.\nStandard operating procedures experience.\nDocumentation development experience.\nOperation requirements specifications experience.\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nMust be able to travel internationally and domestically, less than 5% of the time.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role is based in a temperature-controlled professional office setting and may also require work in laboratory and manufacturing environments. The position includes prolonged computer use and interaction with engineering systems. Noise levels are generally quiet to moderate, depending on the work area.
