As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our QA team and adding another QA Analyst to help strengthen our testing capabilities.\nAbout the role:\nIn this role, you'll own manual and exploratory testing for new features and releases on the BIS platform. This isn't a follow-the-script, mark-pass-or-fail role. It's about understanding what a feature is supposed to do, stepping off the expected path, and finding the problems nobody thought to write a test case for. You'll write the test plans, design the cases, run and maintain our existing automated suites, and work side by side with developers to get issues reproduced and fixed. You'll use AI tools as an everyday partner to get more done.\nThis is an onsite role based out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta office.\nIn this role, you will be expected to:\nTest new features and releases manually, with exploratory coverage that goes well beyond the written script\nDesign test cases for new functionality, including the edge cases the requirements didn't mention\nDocument defects clearly enough that developers can reproduce them without coming back to you for more detail\nRun and maintain our automated test suites, keeping them healthy as the product changes\nPrepare test data and support regression testing across releases\nUse AI agents to draft test plans, find edge cases, maintain automated tests, investigate failures, and improve release workflows, verifying everything they produce.\nPut AI tools to work to speed up test design, documentation, and execution\nShape how we test by contributing to QA team discussions on coverage and process improvement\nYou might be the right fit if you:\nHunt for what could break, treating every feature as something to question rather than something to confirm\nWrite defect reports that are precise, complete, and impossible to misread\nPrioritize under pressure, weighing business priority and risk\nTreat AI as a partner in your work and keep looking for ways to use it better\nSpeak up when something looks off, even if nobody else has noticed\nTake ownership of your work and keep it moving without needing direction on every step\nQualifications we are looking for:\n2 to 3 years of hands-on QA experience, or formal QA training paired with at least a year of real-world testing\nA solid grasp of manual test case design, regression testing, and exploratory testing\nExperience with API testing and API testing tools\nComfort with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Redmine, or similar\nWorking knowledge of browser debugging tools\nAn understanding of automation concepts and experience running or maintaining automated test scripts (writing them from scratch isn't required)\nPractical, everyday use of AI tools\nBonus points if you have:\nExperience with TestRail or a similar test case management tool\nExposure to Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer\nFamiliarity with Git or other version control\nSome JavaScript or TypeScript\nMobile testing experience, especially iOS edge
