This role is ideal for professionals with 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing who are passionate about ensuring product excellence and driving continuous quality improvements. As a senior member of the team you will take ownership of the QA process design and implement automated testing frameworks and mentor junior QA engineers to maintain high-quality standards across all BitBang projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTest Strategy & Planning\n\nLead the planning design and execution of comprehensive test strategies for web and mobile applications.\n\nDefine QA processes best practices and testing methodologies to ensure quality across all development stages.\n\nCollaborate with developers product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans.\n\nIdentify and assess risks early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies.\n\nAutomation Framework Design & Maintenance\n\nDevelop and maintain robust automated testing frameworks using tools like Selenium Cypress or Playwright.\n\nImplement continuous testing practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions).\n\nWrite and maintain automation scripts for UI API and performance testing.\n\nContinuously enhance the automation coverage and optimize test execution efficiency.\n\nManual Testing & Quality Assurance\n\nConduct thorough functional regression integration and exploratory testing for complex features.\n\nValidate backend APIs using tools like Postman or RestAssured.\n\nEnsure all issues are well-documented reproducible and communicated clearly through tools like Jira or Zoho Projects.\n\nPerform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure product consistency.\n\nPerformance & Security Testing\n\nLead performance and load testing efforts using tools such as JMeter K6 or Gatling.\n\nCollaborate with DevOps and backend teams to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.\n\nParticipate in security testing efforts to ensure application robustness and data protection.\n\nLeadership & Mentorship\n\nMentor and support junior QA engineers through regular coaching code reviews and best practice sharing.\n\nCollaborate with the QA Lead to define team standards and testing guidelines.\n\nPromote a strong quality mindset across development teams through collaboration and proactive communication.\n\nAgile Collaboration\n\nPlay an active role in Agile ceremoniesparticipating in sprint planning daily stand-ups reviews and retrospectives.\n\nCollaborate with developers to ensure testability and maintainability of new features.\n\nProvide clear and timely feedback on quality status risks and test progress.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Innovation\n\nStay current with QA industry trends automation tools and testing methodologies.\n\nEvaluate and implement new tools or frameworks to improve QA efficiency and coverage.\n\nDrive process improvements through data-driven insights and test metrics.\n\nRequirementsBachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline.\n\n5 years of experience in software testing including both manual and automation testing.\n\nStrong proficiency in Selenium Cypress or Playwright and test scripting languages such as Java JavaScript or Python.\n\nSolid understanding of SDLC STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.\n\nExperience testing RESTful APIs web applications and microservices.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.\n\nKnowledge of SQL and experience validating backend data integrity.\n\nExcellent analytical debugging and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and process optimization.\n\nWork Environment\n\n Working Hours: Flexible start time between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
