Bitdeer also offers advanced cloud capabilities to customers with a high demand for artificial intelligence.\nHeadquartered in Singapore, Bitdeer operates globally with a diversified 3 GW energy portfolio, and deploys Bitcoin mining and HPC datacenters in the United States, Bhutan, Norway, Canada, Malaysia, and Ethiopia.\nWhat you will be responsible for:\nThe Power Quality Engineer in the Mining Performance Assurance (MPA) Department supports the daily operations of global data centres, ensuring the stability and efficiency of high-performance computing equipment and related assets.\nThrough power quality monitoring, analysis, and optimization, the role reduces equipment failures and energy losses caused by harmonics, voltage fluctuations, and other disturbances, providing reliable power assurance for high-density computing facilities.\nDevelop and implement power quality monitoring plans for data centres and critical power systems, to support power availability targets (Tier III/IV class)\nPerform on-site installation, commissioning, and long-term/temporary monitoring using professional power quality analyzers such as Fluke (435/1760/174 series or equivalent such as Dranetz, Hioki, PQube, Schneider ION etc), collecting key parameters including voltage, frequency, harmonics, three-phase imbalance, flicker, and voltage dips/swells.\nConduct Power Quality (PQ) data processing and statistical analysis with Python, MATLAB, or Excel, including 95th percentile evaluation, exceedance rate calculation, event waveform assessment, and trend reporting aligned with IEC 61000 series.\nIdentify disturbance sources (including non-linear loads such as servers, UPS, and energy storage PCS inverters), assess impact on data centre equipment, and propose mitigation solutions (e.g., active/passive filters, reactive power compensation).\nParticipate in battery energy storage system (BESS - electrochemical storage) integration assessments; conduct pre-connection power quality reviews, on-site testing, and verification of harmonics, fluctuations, and fault ride-through metrics for storage power stations, user-side projects, or data centre backup storage, ensuring compliance with IEC 61000 series, IEEE 519, and relevant international standards.\nTrack the latest international power quality standards and technology trends and participate in internal technical sharing and training to inform operational and strategic decisions\nHow you will stand out:\nBachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, High Voltage Technology, or related fields (Master's degree is advantageous).\nHave at least 5 years of experience in power quality analysis, data center power systems, or energy storage projects\nProficient in on-site operation, data acquisition, and analysis using Fluke or equivalent power quality analyzers.\nFamiliar with international power quality standards (IEC 61000-4-30, IEEE 519, EN 50160, and related series)\nProficient in data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel functions, etc.), with strong statistical analysis and programming capabilities.\nExperience in BESS integration, harmonic mitigation, or data center power projects (e.g., PCS inverter disturbance analysis, \"PV + storage\" optimization).\nProficiently read technical documents and participate in international conferences.\nKnowledge of data centre Tier standards and UPS/storage backup power integration experience. \nAble to travel about 50% of the time\nWhat you will experience working with us:\nA culture that values authenticity and diversity of thoughts and backgrounds;\nAn inclusive and respectable environment with open workspaces and exciting start-up spirit;\nFast-growing company with the chance to network with industrial pioneers and enthusiasts;\nAbility to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry;\nInvolvement in new projects, developing processes/systems;\nPersonal accountability, autonomy, fast growth, and learning opportunities;\nAttractive welfare benefits and developmental opportunities such as training and mentoring.\n--------------------------------------------------------------------\nBitdeer is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in accordance with country, state, and local laws.
