About the role
We are seeking a Billing Analyst to own the accuracy of usage-to-invoice for Bitdeer AI's Model-as-a-Service platform, making sure every token processed, GPU-second consumed, and fine-tuning job run is metered correctly and reflected faithfully on customer invoices. Today, raw inference usage events, GPU-hour allocations, and tiered per-token pricing rules live across several internal metering pipelines and billing systems that do not always agree, which produces recurring month-end discrepancies between what customers were charged and what they actually consumed, and slows down the process of issuing service credits when GPU faults or capacity outages interrupt a customer's workload. This role closes that gap: reconciling usage data against billing records line by line, maintaining and evolving the pricing models that translate consumption into charges, and calculating fair, well-documented credits when infrastructure failures affect a tenant's jobs. The person who thrives here is comfortable moving between spreadsheets, SQL queries, and billing-platform configuration in the same afternoon, treats a small reconciliation gap as a signal worth chasing rather than a rounding error, and can explain a pricing or credit decision clearly to both an engineer debugging a metering pipeline and a customer disputing an invoice.
What you will be responsible for:
- Usage-to-Invoice Reconciliation: Reconcile raw metering data, including token counts, GPU-seconds, storage, and API call volumes, against billed line items on the MaaS platform every billing cycle. Investigate variances between usage logs and invoiced amounts down to the account and job level, tracing them to metering pipeline bugs, pricing misconfigurations, or timing gaps. Document root causes and drive fixes with engineering and finance-systems teams so recurring discrepancies do not reappear the following month.
- Pricing Model Maintenance: Maintain and help evolve the pricing models that convert raw consumption into customer charges, including per-token rates for chat and embeddings, per-GPU-hour rates for fine-tuning and dedicated capacity, and tiered or committed-use discounts. Model the revenue impact of proposed pricing changes before they ship, and validate that pricing configuration in the billing system matches what product and sales have committed to customers, catching mismatches before they reach an invoice.
- GPU-Fault Service Credits: Calculate and issue service credits when GPU faults, node failures, or capacity outages interrupt customer inference or training jobs, using SLA terms and incident timelines from infrastructure and reliability teams. Build a consistent, auditable methodology for sizing credits so similar incidents are treated the same way across customers, and track credit issuance so it can be reported as a cost of reliability rather than absorbed silently into revenue.
- Billing Data Quality and Anomaly Detection: Monitor usage and billing pipelines for anomalies such as duplicate metering events, missing usage records, or pricing-tier misapplication before invoices go out. Build recurring checks and lightweight dashboards that flag unusual spend patterns or metering gaps early, and partner with data engineering to close instrumentation gaps at the source rather than patching them downstream every cycle.
- Billing Support and Dispute Resolution: Serve as the analytical backstop for customer-facing billing disputes, pulling underlying usage evidence and walking account managers or support through exactly how a charge or credit was calculated. Turn recurring dispute themes into proposed changes to pricing logic, invoice presentation, or metering granularity so the same question does not need to be re-litigated for the next customer.
How you will stand out:
- Bring 3+ years of experience in billing operations, revenue operations, or financial analysis at a cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or other usage-metered business, with direct exposure to consumption-based pricing.
- Demonstrate strong SQL skills for querying usage and billing data across large event volumes, and comfort working in a data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift to reconcile metering pipelines against billed output.
- Show hands-on experience with at least one usage-based or subscription billing platform, such as Stripe Billing, Zuora, Chargebee, Metronome, or Orb, including how rating, invoicing, and credit memos are configured.
- Have working knowledge of how GPU and compute-based pricing works, including per-token, per-GPU-hour, and tiered or committed-use models, and be able to translate SLA terms into concrete credit calculations.
- Be comfortable working across engineering, finance, and customer-facing teams under ambiguity, tracing a billing discrepancy from a customer invoice back to a raw metering event without a fully documented data model to lean on.
- Bring advanced spreadsheet modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets for one-off reconciliations and pricing scenario analysis, plus basic scripting in Python or a similar language to automate recurring checks.
What you will experience working with us:
- A culture that values authenticity and diversity of thoughts and backgrounds;
- An inclusive and respectable environment with open workspaces and exciting start-up spirit;
- Fast-growing company with the chance to network with industrial pioneers and enthusiasts;
- Ability to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry;
- Involvement in new projects, developing processes/systems;
- Personal accountability, autonomy, fast growth, and learning opportunities;
- Attractive welfare benefits and developmental opportunities such as training and mentoring.
