The role will coordinate closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, internal teams, and relevant government agencies to ensure shipments are cleared and delivered on time, compliantly, and with minimum disruption to operation. The position will also be responsible for resolving import-related issues, improving forwarders & logistics processes, and establishing a reliable import/export operation to support Malaysia supply chain and data centre activities\nWhat you will be responsible for:\nImport & Customs ManagementManage end-to-end import/export processes for GPUs, ICs, electronic components, equipment and other critical materials into Malaysia and probably other countries.\nCoordinate import documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, AWB/BL, COO/Form E, HS code, permits and other supporting documents.\nWork closely with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely customs declaration and clearance.\nInvestigate and resolve customs clearance issues, including HS classification, valuation, COO, import permits, customs queries and document discrepancies.\nCoordinate with relevant Malaysian authorities and agencies when required for import clearance and regulatory matters.\nMaintain proper records of import documentation and customs transactions for audit and compliance purposes.\n\nDelivery & Logistics ExecutionMonitor shipments from supplier pickup through Malaysia customs clearance and final delivery.\nFollow up with forwarders for vessel/flight schedules, ETA, customs clearance status and delivery commitments.Coordinate with Planning/PMC, Procurement, Warehouse, Manufacturing and suppliers to prioritize urgent deliveries.\nProactively identify shipment delays and implement recovery actions.\n\nFreight Forwarder & Customs Broker ManagementManage day-to-day activities with freight forwarders, courier companies and customs brokers.\nMonitor forwarder performance, including clearance lead time, delivery performance and issue resolution.Check and validate the payment request from the forwarders, execute the payment via system.\n\nCompliance & Process ImprovementEnsure import/export activities comply with Malaysian customs and applicable regulatory requirements.\nMaintain and improve import/export SOPs, checklists and documentation requirements.\nConduct root-cause analysis for customs and delivery problems and implement corrective actions.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce customs clearance and overall delivery lead time.\nCross-functional SupportWork closely with internal Procurement, PMC, Finance, Quality, Engineering and after sales team.\nSupport NPI and new material introduction from an import/export perspective.\nProvide logistics and customs input during new supplier and new product setup.\nSupport urgent shipment recovery and production shortage situations.\n\nHow you will stand out:\nEducationBachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, International Trade, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.\n\nExperience1 to 5 years of experience in logistics, import/export, customs clearance, freight forwarding or supply chain.\nHands-on experience with Malaysia import/export processes and customs clearance.\nExperience handling electronics, semiconductor, IT hardware or high-value equipment is preferred.\nExperience dealing with customs brokers and international freight forwarders is highly preferred.\n\nTechnical / KnowledgeGood understanding of Malaysian customs import/export procedures.\nKnowledge of HS code classification, import permits, COO/Form E, customs declarations and customs valuation.\nFamiliarity with air freight and sea freight processes.\nGood understanding of Incoterms.\nERP experience such as Oracle/SAP is an advantage.\nStrong Excel/data analysis skills.\n\nKey CompetenciesAble to speak and read Malay, English and Mandarin\nQuick learner with strong ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.\nAble to work under pressure and manage urgent shipments.\nStrong communication and negotiation skills.\nAble to coordinate multiple parties and drive issues to closure.\nDetail-oriented, particularly with customs documentation.\nProactive in identifying potential clearance and delivery risks.\n\nWhat you will experience working with us:\nA culture that values authenticity and diversity of thoughts and backgrounds;\nAn inclusive and respectable environment with open workspaces and exciting start-up spirit;\nFast-growing company with the chance to network with industrial pioneers and enthusiasts;\nAbility to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry;\nInvolvement in new projects, developing processes/systems;\nPersonal accountability, autonomy, fast growth, and learning opportunities;\nAttractive welfare benefits and developmental opportunities such as training and mentoring.\n--------------------------------------------------------------------\nBitdeer is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in accordance with country, state, and local laws.
