For more information, please visit www.bitgo.com.\nThe Operations Specialist will work on site for BitGo Europe in Frankfurt. This individual will be responsible for performing high volume, complex, confidential operational activities, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Working hours and essential duties and responsibilities are set out below. The duties include, but are not limited to, those listed. \nWorking hours\n Part-time position of 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday), plus Sunday shifts of about 4 hours (up to 24 hours per week in total), on site in Frankfurt.\n Monday to Friday, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (4 hours per day).\nSundays: initially on a call-on/call-off basis, with shifts announced at least four days in advance. We plan to introduce a regular Sunday shift of about 4 hours, mainly between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, with some flexibility to adjust to client demand. Sunday work is compensated with time off in lieu in line with the German Working Time Act.\nResponsibilities \nProvide operational support for crypto and banking transactions, ensuring secure handling and post-transaction monitoring until on-chain settlement is confirmed.\nSupport the withdrawal verification process for both regular and unscheduled client requests.\n Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations of crypto and fiat accounts, covering transactions as well as Assets under Custody (AuC), and produce the related internal reports.\nTroubleshoot account issues, answer inquiries promptly, and work with Sales, KYC/AML, IT Security and Customer Success to resolve problems.\nMaintain the hardware and software needed for daily operations, check that backup systems are in place, and support updates such as new token support.\nSupport the full client onboarding process, ensuring institutional and retail clients are onboarded efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.\nCarry out KYC/AML due diligence reviews, including verifying client documentation, ownership structures and source of funds, and applying sanctions and risk checks.\nMaintain complete, accurate and audit-ready client records across our internal tools.\nOpen, maintain and close client accounts, completing all tasks accurately and on time.\nMonitor client accounts throughout the customer lifecycle, including periodic KYC reviews and updates to client risk profiles.\nWork closely with the KYC/AML team and escalate irregularities or open compliance questions.\nSupport the Compliance team with first-level screening of sanctions, PEP and adverse media alerts, and with first-level review of transaction monitoring and trade surveillance alerts.\nCarry out approved compliance decisions operationally, such as account restrictions, offboarding steps and returns of funds, and handle Travel Rule data, including follow-ups with counterparty providers.\nSupport the Finance team with invoice recording, ledger maintenance, and review and forwarding of trading and stablecoin income.\nSupport the Risk and InfoSec teams with vendor follow-ups, periodic vendor risk assessments and quality reviews of governance documents.\nHelp with day-to-day office management, including mail handling and coordination with facility management. \nRequirements \nBachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience in operations, banking or financial services, with a genuine interest in digital assets.\nPrior exposure to KYC/AML, reconciliations or financial operations is an advantage.\nClear written and spoken communication in German and English, with internal and external stakeholders.\nAccuracy and strong attention to detail, with a commitment to continuously improving daily workflows.\nWell organized and confident with email, spreadsheets and databases to manage and track tasks.\nStrong sense of urgency when serving internal and external clients, with prompt responses and support.\nAnalytical, solution-oriented mindset, with active listening skills to help resolve issues.\nAbility to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nTeam player with sound and growing judgment, ready to collaborate and learn from others.\nAvailability for evening and Sunday work, as set out under Working hours.\n Part-time position of 20 hours per week plus Sunday shifts (up to 24 hours in total).\nBitGo as your primary employer; any secondary employment requires prior written approval.\nWhy Join BitGo?\nDisrupting an industry takes vision, innovation, passion, technical chops, drive to deliver, collaboration, and execution.
