The position is based in Oulu, Finland, and offers a hybrid working model. You will work on both client and server, and you'll have real influence on how the product evolves. When the situation calls for it, you'll take the technical lead, both within the team and together with our customers.\nWe are a small team, and we see that as a real opportunity for you. You'll get to take ownership early, have a direct say in technical decisions, and learn faster than you would in a larger organisation, across clients, servers, security, and customer work. With that opportunity comes responsibility: you'll own what you build, and you should be comfortable handling the pressure that comes with work where our customers' security depends on us.\nWhat you'll do\nDevelop SafeMove Comms desktop and mobile clients as well as server-side components\nSolve demanding integration and architecture challenges without losing sight of the user experience\nTake ownership of problems and drive them to working solutions, independently or together with the team\nLead technical discussions with the team and customers when needed\nTake part in deploying and maintaining the product in demanding customer environments\nWhat we expect from you\nSolid experience in software development across both client-side and server-side technologies\nStrong software development skills and an agile mindset\nGood collaboration skills and the ability to solve demanding problems independently\nA willingness to take ownership and provide technical direction within the team and beyond\nExperience with desktop development using JavaScript/TypeScript and React, or with Android development\nExperience with server-side technologies such as Linux, Java, SQL databases, and Nginx\nFluent Finnish and English\nWe especially value\nKnowledge of network security\nKnowledge of the Signal Protocol or similar end-to-end encryption protocols\nKnowledge of PKI and certificate management\nExperience in iOS development\nNice to have\nBroader expertise in information security and cryptography\nExperience with Rust, Redux, or Electron\nInterested?\nSend us your application as soon as possible.
