Today, it’s the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia.\nThe Role\nDoit is building its investment business from Vilnius. As General Manager of Doit Lithuania, you will build and run the business in Lithuania and grow it across the European Economic Area.\nYou will be the first senior hire in Lithuania. You will own the regulatory relationship, the build of the team, the partner network and the launch. You will sit on the management board and lead the business day to day.\nWe’re looking for a generalist who learns quickly, thinks deeply, and enjoys solving difficult problems in a fast-moving, regulated environment.\nWhat You’ll Own\nOwn the relationship with the Bank of Lithuania and other regulators.\n\nBuild the Vilnius team, including compliance, operations and control functions.\n\nSelect and negotiate with execution, custody, fund and banking partners.\n\nOwn the business plan, financial projections, capital plan and budget.\n\nLaunch the investment platform in Lithuania and roll it out across the EEA.\n\nSet up governance, policies and controls that meet EU and Lithuanian requirements.\n\nWork with group leadership on product, engineering and growth.\n\nReport to the board and take ownership of business and regulatory outcomes.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nGeneralist background in consulting, investment banking, start-ups, private equity or venture capital.\n\nExperience building or scaling a business, ideally in financial services or fintech.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and business judgment.\n\nAbility to learn regulation quickly and work credibly with regulators.\n\nStrong ownership and execution skills.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with boards, regulators, partners and teams.\n\nComfortable working across product, operations, finance and compliance.\n\nA clean record and good reputation, suitable for regulatory approval as a senior manager.\n\nBased in Lithuania, or open to relocating to Lithuania.\n\nCurious, resourceful, and driven to build.\n\nNice to Have\nLithuanian language ability.\n\nAn existing working relationship with the Bank of Lithuania.\n\nExperience with MiFID II, brokerage, wealth management or fund distribution.\n\nExperience building or running a regulated financial business in the EU.\n\nThis Role Is Not For\nPeople who only want to attend meetings.\n\nCandidates who cannot follow up aggressively and professionally.\n\nThose who need fixed scope and slow timelines.\n\nPeople who avoid messy cross-functional problems.\n\nPeople who produce long updates without clear decisions or next actions.\n\nPeople who see regulation as someone else’s problem.\n\nLocation\nThis role is based in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our Vilnius office at least 3 days per week.\nYou must be a European citizen or already hold a valid right to work in Lithuania. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.\nLanguage\nEnglish is our main working language across global teams.
