The Role
AsCreative Director, you will help shape how the world sees and experiences BJAK. From visuals to messaging, you will shape brand direction, elevate storytelling, and drive high-impact marketing initiatives that reinforce Bjak’s positioning across ASEAN.
This is not just a design role - it is a leadership position for someone who can think strategically, move fast, and execute at a high level. You will help shape narratives, support leading a creative team, and drive bold campaigns that elevate the brand across markets.
What You'll Do
1. Brand Strategy & Creative Direction
Own and evolve BJAK’s brand identity across all platforms - from tone and messaging to typography and visual systems
Translate business and marketing objectives into compelling creative concepts
Lead the ideation and development of creative concepts for campaigns that strengthen brand perception and audience engagement.
Ensure brand consistency across all communication touchpoints, content formats, and marketing activities.
2. Campaign Optimization & Execution
Design and manage creative workflows that balance speed, quality, and scalability
Partner with growth, product, and leadership teams across Malaysia and the region to execute key campaigns
Use performance insights and feedback to continuously improve creative output
Stay ahead of industry and creative trends to keep BJAK sharp and relevant
3.. Creative Leadership & Team Management
Support leading, coaching, and inspiring a multidisciplinary creative team (designers, writers, and content creators)
Set a high standard for creativity, execution, and delivery under tight timelines
Review and elevate creative output to ensure alignment with brand strategy and quality standards
Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountability
What We're Looking For
4-6 years of experience in creative, brand, or design leadership roles (agency or fast-growth companies preferred)
Strong portfolio showcasing storytelling, campaigns, and multi-channel creative work
Solid understanding of branding, design principles, and digital content strategy
Experience leading and developing creative teams
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, and modern production workflows
Strong stakeholder management and project execution skills
Bonus: Experience in fintech, e-commerce, or high-growth consumer brands
Location
This role is based in Malaysia. This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our Malaysia office at least 3 days per week.
Language
English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.
