This role requires someone who immediately understands viral content, memes, trending topics, internet language, and knows how to turn them into engaging brand content. This person should deeply understand how different platforms work, know how to ride trends quickly, and have a strong sense of humour, timing, and audience engagement.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage and grow the company’s social media presence across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Threads, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others\n\nMonitor daily social media trends, viral topics, memes, and internet conversations\n\nCreate fast, relevant, and engaging content around trending topics while maintaining brand image\n\nWrite witty, humorous, and relatable captions/content that resonate with online audiences\n\nDevelop creative social media campaigns and content ideas\n\nPlan and execute content calendars\n\nEngage with online communities, comments, and audience interactions\n\nWork closely with design/video teams to produce content quickly and effectively\n\nUnderstand different audience behaviours across different social media platforms\n\nAnalyse social media performance and optimise content strategy based on engagement and reach\n\nStay updated on platform algorithm changes, content trends, and emerging social media culture\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nStrong understanding of social media platforms and internet culture\n\nExcellent writing and communication skills in English\n\nStrong sense of humour, creativity, and storytelling\n\nFast thinker with strong awareness of current trends and viral content\n\nAbility to create content that feels organic, relatable, and engaging\n\nFamiliar with meme culture, online communities, and trending conversations\n\nAble to react quickly to trending topics and produce content in a timely manner\n\nExperience managing brand social media accounts is an advantage\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment\n\nBasic design, video editing, or content creation skills are a plus\n\nBonus: Personally create content on TikTok/Instagram/Threads/X or grow pages organically\n\nLocation\nThis role is based in Malaysia. This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our Malaysia office at least 3 days per week.\nLanguage\nEnglish is our main working language across global teams.
