The net effect is to eliminate misinformation, achieve low coordination costs, enable high quality tasks and collaboration at scale with minimal or little prompting.\nRole\nYou will own the UX of ActAI's core app experience. This means designing the end-to-end flows users go through every day - how they start tasks, how they follow along as the AI works, how they stay in control, and how they recover when something goes wrong.\nThis is a UX role for a HCI product. You need to understand both user needs and AI system behavior well enough to design product flows that feel clear, reliable, and controllable.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nOwn UX for ActAI's core app surfaces across iOS, Android, and web.\n\nDesign complete user flows for AI-assisted tasks - from intent capture through to task completion, including handoff, progress tracking, and error recovery.\n\nDesign how the app surfaces what the AI is doing, what decisions it has made, and what the user needs to confirm or adjust.\n\nMap and design the full range of AI states a user encounters - loading, thinking, acting, waiting, completing, stalling, failing, and recovering.\n\nWork with product, engineering, and ML teams to define user requirements and translate them into concrete design solutions.\n\nConduct usability research to understand where users lose trust, feel uncertain, or disengage.\n\nProduce wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs that engineering can build from directly.\n\nContribute to the design system and shared UX patterns for AI app surfaces.\n\nDesign for both simple everyday interactions and complex multi-step AI workflows within the same product.\n\nWhat You Will Need\nExperience as a UX designer on consumer mobile or web apps, with a strong portfolio.\n\nSolid skills in user flow design, wireframing, and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma.\n\nAbility to design for systems that are asynchronous, non-deterministic, and context-dependent.\n\nClear thinking about user trust, control, feedback, and transparency in AI-driven product experiences.\n\nExperience conducting user research and turning findings into design decisions.\n\nComfortable working in fast-moving teams with evolving product scope.\n\nAbility to balance simple consumer UX with complex AI system behavior.\n\nGood judgment on usability, edge cases, failure handling, and recovery flows.\n\nHow We Work\nThe best products today in the world were built by small, world class teams.
