The technician ensures reliable connectivity for voice, data, wireless, security, and communication systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nStructured Cabling Installation\nInstall, route, terminate, and label copper and fiber optic cabling.\nInstall Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic network cables.\nPerform cable pulling through conduits, trunking, cable trays, and ceiling spaces.\nInstall patch panels, wall outlets, faceplates, and network cabinets/racks.\nEnsure installations comply with industry standards and client specifications.\nNetwork Equipment Installation\nInstall and mount network switches, routers, wireless access points, and related equipment.\nPerform physical setup and basic configuration of network devices.\nConnect and organize patch cords within communication cabinets.\nAssist in deployment of Wi-Fi infrastructure and LAN connectivity.\nConduct site surveys to assess cabling routes, equipment locations, wireless coverage requirements, and installation constraints.\nTesting and Commissioning\nConduct cable testing using certification and verification tools.\nTest copper and fiber optic links for performance and connectivity.\nTroubleshoot cable faults, connectivity issues, and signal degradation.\nGenerate test reports and documentation upon project completion.\nMaintenance and Support\nPerform preventive maintenance on network infrastructure.\nDiagnose and rectify network connectivity issues.\nReplace defective cables, connectors, patch panels, and network hardware.\nRespond to service calls and support requests from customers or internal users.\nSupport IMAC (Install, Move, Add, and Change) activities for network, wireless, and end-user infrastructure.\nDocumentation\nMaintain accurate records of cable routes, labeling, and asset inventories.\nUpdate network diagrams and as-built documentation.\nPrepare installation reports, service reports, and maintenance records.\nDocument changes and upgrades to network infrastructure.\nAssist in preparing bill of materials (BOM), material lists, and quotation inputs based on site survey findings and project requirements.\nSite Coordination\nCoordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other trades.\nAttend site meetings and provide technical input when required.\nCommunicate with customers during surveys, installations, and support activities to gather technical requirements and provide project updates.\nEnsure work is completed according to project schedules and quality standards.\nAssist in planning cable pathways and equipment locations.\nCoordinate project schedules, resource requirements, and site activities with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.\nSafety and Compliance\nFollow workplace safety regulations and company procedures.\nUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintain safe working practices when using ladders, lifts, power tools, and testing equipment.\nEnsure
