The candidate must be motivated and self-driven for success.\nPosition Details:\nHourly position based upon experience & skill level\nSunday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm \nLocation: Customer site - Chandler, AZ\nClient Addendum will need to be followed. Copy will be provided at the time of candidates offer.\nOther Responsibilities Include:\nThe patching cabling between network equipment and customer’s network.\nThe installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet.\nThe installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment.\nInstall/swap out cables, switches routers and etc.\nComplete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels.\nProvide infrastructure cabling break-fix services for network infrastructure.\nPerform layer 1 troubleshooting\nSupport carrier testing of circuits.\nAssist with facilities efforts.\nPower and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) restoral.\nWater problems.\nEmergency cooling restoration.\nFire suppression exercises, restoration, and post fire events.\nAct as an interface, as needed, between associates at the applicable location and centralized project / operations / MAC management. \nRequirements:\nRequires appropriate equipment training with high-speed fiber optic transport.\nThe ability to clean high speed single and multi-mode optical connections.\nThe ability to measure, transmit and receive on high-speed optics.\nThe knowledge and experience to work safely with high-speed single mode long range optical lasers.\nExperienced with Fluke Versiv Mainframe\nRequires experience in working in a data centers and communications closets.\nMust be able to safely lift heavy objects.\nMust understand cable patching processes and procedures.\nProven success troubleshooting layer 1 network concerns\nMust be willing to work shift work which includes nights and weekends.\nExperience and Education:\n2-5 yrs experience relevant experience, preferably at least 1 year in a data center environment\nMust an in-depth knowledge of structured cabling \nKnowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards\nPhysical Requirements:\nHeavy Work: May frequently exert force equivalent to lifting up to approximately 50 pounds and/or occasionally exert force equivalent to lifting up to approximately 100 pounds.\nVision: Requires the ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye.\nNear Acuity: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.\nMidrange: Clarity of vision at distances of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet.\nFar Acuity: Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.\nPeripheral: Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point.\nDepth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.\nAbility to adjust focus: Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.\nColor Vision: Ability to identify colors.\nSpeaking/Hearing: Possesses the ability to give and receive information through speaking and listening skills.\nMotor Coordination: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The incumbent is frequently required to stand; and walk.
