If you are committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.\nThe Accounting Manager will work in conjunction with the Regional Controller to undertake and manage the financial and administration affairs of the assigned regions/company in accordance with Corporate Policy.\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nPrepare salary recovery worksheets and other cost transfer forms and post\nPost journal entries, perform bank reconciliations and reconcile required general ledger accounts as required\nAssist operations with updates to jobs (i.e. productivity, change orders, cost codes)\nPerform month end process related to jobs (i.e. closeouts, profit recognition, unbilled work orders) and update of accounting wip reports\nAssist operations with preparation of any ad hoc reports related to job performance\nResolve any vendor payment disputes\nAssist with collection of accounts receivable when required\nPlan, organize and undertake the period close process including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.\nEnsure conformity with internal accounting policies and business processes as well as compliance with established internal controls, including approval requirements with a keen eye toward cost control and accuracy\nSupport ongoing business planning and quarterly forecasting processes as well as annual strategic planning exercise\nEnsure integrity of financial data and systems and adherence to Corporate reporting timelines\nEnsure management of general ledger\nParticipation in annual external audit\nComplete and review month-end reconciliations and budget variance analyses\nManage cash flow and other company assets\nProvide financial recommendations and ideas when new business initiatives are proposed\nWORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller/Sr. Financial Analyst position\nMinimum of a diploma in Business Administration - Accounting or a degree in Finance\nCPA designation is preferred \nPrior experience in a construction or engineering company preferred\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nStrong analytical skills with proficiency with advanced Excel skills\nStrong organizational skills\nExcellent communication skills both written and verbal\nAdvanced Excel knowledge and systems aptitude\nKnowledge of JDE Edwards or comparable ERP system preferred\nThe expected salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $110,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
