The Class B Refrigeration Operator opportunity work with-in Whitby location and reports to the Chief Operator. The position requires continental shifts, thus candidates must have open and flexible availability.\nYou will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:\nExperience within a TSSA-regulated ammonia plant\nOperate air compressors, chillers, water towers, water softeners, air dryers, pumps, and fans\nChiller maintenance including cooling towers and associated equipment\nExtensive experience on HVAC/R systems\nResponsible for the safe operation of the refrigeration plant\nPerform all tasks related to the safe and efficient operation of the plant including repairs and maintenance\nPerform routine inspection and testing of equipment and building infrastructure to ensure proper operation\nPerform minor repair and general maintenance duties associated with building systems\nDocument air compressor readings, all plant steam produced and consumption and gas consumption; supply gas forecasts to gas supplier\nTrack and log all gas, water, and hydro readings\nMonitor and maintain water treatment for chillers and cooling towers\nFamiliar with CMM and preventative maintenance programs\nProvide access and assistance to sub-trades as required\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nMust possess a 3rd Class Power Engineer certificate or higher or “A” or “B” Refrigeration Operator class certificate\nWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nMust have experience working as an operator in an ammonia plant\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nMust be able to work 7AM to 7PM on a continental rotational shift \nMust be able to commute to Whitby\nStrong troubleshooting and interpersonal skills\nBending and lifting required;
