This role supports project teams through budget management, cost forecasting, schedule development, risk analysis, project reporting, and coordination of stakeholders. The position plays a key role in developing integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and supporting project controls functions throughout the project lifecycle.\nThe ideal candidate has strong experience in scheduling, cost management, forecasting, project coordination, and construction or EPC environments. They must be highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.\nThis position serves as a critical link between project management, engineering, construction, finance, and field operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nProject Coordination & Leadership\nLead, facilitate, and coordinate project-related activities across multiple departments and stakeholders.\nCoordinate and document project meetings, action items, and project deliverables.\nBuild consensus among project teams regarding decisions that impact project execution and business objectives.\nResolve conflicts and competing priorities among project stakeholders.\nIdentify project risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.\nSupport project managers and leadership teams by providing project status updates and recommendations.\nParticipate in mentoring and training lower-level project coordinators and schedulers.\nScheduling & Planning\nDevelop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.\nCreate resource-loaded schedules and perform resource leveling utilizing Critical Path Methodology (CPM).\nDevelop detailed project schedules based on engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and outage activities.\nMonitor schedule performance and identify schedule risks, delays, and recovery opportunities.\nWork closely with planning, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment.\nSupport the development and analysis of intermediate and complex project and outage schedules.\nCost Management & Financial Oversight\nManage project budgets utilizing proven cost management techniques.\nTrack project costs, commitments, accruals, forecasts, and budget performance.\nPrepare financial reports and project performance metrics for multiple projects.\nDevelop and maintain project forecasts and cash flow projections.\nCreate and manage project work orders.\nAnalyze project financial performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.\nApply accounting principles and cost tracking methodologies to support project objectives.\nEstimating & Project Controls\nDevelop or oversee conceptual and preliminary project cost estimates.\nSupport planning and engineering teams in developing detailed project estimates.\nAssist in project controls functions including forecasting, earned value tracking, budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.\nEvaluate project alternatives and conduct risk assessments to support decision-making.\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation\n· Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent utility EPC experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.\nConstruction Management\nEngineering Technology\nBusiness Administration\nProject Management\nOr a related field\n\nExperience\nExperience should include:\nProject design, planning, engineering, construction, or maintenance activities.\nCost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.\nProject scheduling and project controls.\nWorking knowledge of accounting and financial management principles.\nCoordinating multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAdvanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (P6) scheduling software.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including development of complex spreadsheets, dashboards, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting tools.\nStrong understanding of:\nProject Controls\nCost Management\nForecasting\nBudget Administration\nCritical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling\nResource Loading and Resource Leveling\n\nExcellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across functional teams.\nSelf-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), engineering, utility, energy, industrial, or construction environment.\nProfessional certifications such as:\nProject Management Professional (PMP)\nCertified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)\nPMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)\n\nPreferred Software Experience\nPrimavera P6\nProcore\nSharePoint\nBluebeam Revu\nMicrosoft Office
