The Mechanical Project Coordinator will be responsible for institutional and industrial projects. Duties to include planning, organizing, coordinating, and supporting technical workflow on assigned construction projects related to the electrical and mechanical field. The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Manager.\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssist the Project Manager to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications.\nAssist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established timelines.\nBuild and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships. \nPrepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.\nTrade and subcontractor coordination. \nDocument control.\nPurchase supplies and materials as required to complete project. \nEnsure site is operating in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.\nCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS\nChange Orientation\nCommunicates Effectively \nContinuous Learning\nCustomer Focus\nHolds Self and Others Accountable\nProblem Solving and Innovation \nTeamwork and Collaboration\nValues and Respects Others\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nA College Diploma in Construction or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering. \nExperience in the trades may substitute for education requirements.\nWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n1-3 years’ experience in a similar role. \nExperience in the construction industry would be considered an asset\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Project and Outlook\nExcellent communication, planning and organizational skills\nAbility to establish a strong working relationship with co-workers, vendors and clients\nCandidates must be Canadian Citizens who are able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Canadian Citizen with 10 years of continuous residency within Canada).\nThe expected salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
