The Project Coordinator is located on site and reports directly to the Project Manager.\nProject Coordinators assist with planning, organization, direct, control and evaluate assigned project(s) from start to finish and in accordance with schedule, specifications and budget. Their primary focus is safety, planning, monitoring progress, scheduling, quality, costs management, estimating, reporting, and managing project change under the direction of senior leadership.\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssist the Project Manager on projects to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are met\nComply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures\nAssist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines \nComplete quantity take offs from construction drawings, track and update as-built quantities and field verify when required\nAssist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors\nAssist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impacts\nAssist in developing and implementing quality control programs\nBuild and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships \nPrepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients\nTrade and subcontractor coordination \nDocument control\nPurchase supplies and materials as required to complete project \nWHAT YOU CAN OFFER\n·Degree or Diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in the industry with a proven track record.\n1-5 years of Project Coordination experience in the ICI construction sector working on small and large construction projects including Data Centres, Automotive, heavy & light industrial, etc. \nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nProficient knowledge and understanding of:\nContract management\nConstruction scheduling, planning, and execution\nBlue print reading, specifically electrical drawing knowledge. \nTake-offs and estimating\nProject electrical, mechanical and structural design interpretation\nFinancial statements - read and comprehend\nOrganization and time management\nDriven and self-motivated \nProficient user of:\nMS Office (Word, Excel, Project)\nDesign Software\nProcore or equivalent\nThe expected salary range for this role is between $52,000 - $75,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
