The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering modification projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling project activities from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget, and dealing with project changes under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) & Program Manager (PgM).\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n-To plan, in conjunction with the Project Manager, to execute projects in accordance with Corporate Policy; managing all day-to-day project management\nAssist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project budget, cash flow and preliminary schedule\nPrepare project organization and communication charts\nSupport the project management team in coordinating project planning activities\n-Support the PM in leading the project organization and assign the work activities throughout the project lifecycle\nChair project meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members \nTrack the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades \nUse project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures\nPrepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.\nReview work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficiencies.\nEffectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team\nMaintain Contract Execution Tracking Log \nTrack & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database \nPrepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close- out documents are obtained \nKeep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations \nWork with project management team to develop tools and templates\nImplement processes and procedures and conduct training sessions when necessary\nCoordinate all project management, engineering, and construction activities\nSupport the project management team in monitoring project performance (cost, schedule, quality) and assist in completing and distributing regular project reports (including issues, status, and KPI’s) to key stakeholders\nSupport the coordination of project close-out activities and transfer to operations\n-Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders\nEnsure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner \nInterface between various internal stakeholders (project services, engineering, procurement, construction, quality)\n-Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude\n\nCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS\nCommunicates Effectively\nCustomer Focus\nProblem Solving and Innovation \n\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nBachelors’ Degree, Diploma, Certificate or related experience\n\nWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nUp to 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator role or equivalent for nuclear power plant industry or related construction/industrial projects\nExperience on projects with medium risk and complexity preferred\n\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nBasic understanding or project management, engineering and construction processes, procedures and relevant software\nStrong interpersonal, communication, organization and analytical skills\nProficient in MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products\nEffective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills\nProven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment\nDemonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities\nA Client Security Clearance will be required\n\nWORK PERKS & BENEFITS\nCompany paid health and dental benefits\nOpportunity to participate in community and wellness initiatives\nTeam building events\nAccess to a dynamic Employee & Family Assistance Program\nOpportunity for ongoing professional development\nRewards and recognition\nScholarship Program for employee dependents\n\nCOMPENSATION\nThe expected salary range for this role is between $70,000/annually and $84,000/annually. The starting salary will be based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education, experience and overall competencies. Salary is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
