The Quality Control Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Quality Program, direction and supervision of QC Inspectors, correctness of work sign-off activities, liaison with Authorized Inspection Agency and verification of control of non-conforming items, establishing Inspection & Test Plans, (unless provided by the client),coordination with Project Coordinator for project QC activities, including interfacing with outside organizations, subcontractors and preparation of the Manufacturer’s Data Report. The Quality Control Manager is located on the designated Client Sites and as such is a key member of the Site Construction Team (SCT) and ensures that the highest degree of employee, plant safety and quality standards are met.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible to monitor all aspects of the Work to ensure line management is meeting the Quality requirements as required by the applicable standards, codes, Black & McDonald and Client quality program when applicable\nEnsures compliance with Client FME program \nIs the quality conscience for the SCT\nPerform work activities in a safe manner and in compliance with Black and McDonald Safety Program and those of our customers\nPerform receipt, in process and final inspection and test activities including maintaining accurate inspection and test status of items\nInterface with Regulatory Authorities\nPerform special process monitoring activities\nEnsuring correctness of Work Sign-off activities as related to inspection and test activities\nAid with the implementation of the Quality Management System and Programs within PGR\nPreparation of Inspection and Test Plan(s) unless provided by client\nCoordination for Project QC activities, including interfaces with outside organizations (subcontractors)\nLiaison with Pressure Boundary jurisdiction\nAuthorization of Inspection and Test Plan(s)Ensuring the preparation of the Manufacturer’s Data Reports\nSupervision of QC Inspectors\nVerification, control and accepting dispositions of nonconformance’s\nVerification of Black & McDonald Event Reports (BMR) by direct reports\nAccurate and timely verification of inspections and tests shown in the Inspection and Tests plans or as otherwise assigned by the QA Manager\nDocumentation of the results of the inspections and tests as required\nEnsure proper use and safe handling of measure and test equipment, including recording where used\nIdentify and control nonconforming items according to Black & McDonald Procedures\n\nCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS\nChange Orientation\nCommunicates Effectively \nHolds Self and Others Accountable\nProblem Solving and Innovation\nTeamwork and Collaboration\nCoaches and Develops\nMaximizes Team Effectiveness\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum of 2 years College or University in a technical related discipline or related experience\nWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum of 10 years construction trades experience and:\nMinimum 5 years QA/QC experience including experience in non-conformance control, corrective action process and inspection and test plan generation\nExperience in nuclear industry required\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nExtensive knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, including ASME III, CSA N285, CSA N299, B51, B31.1&3 and ISO standards\nProven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams\nStrong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in fostering collaboration\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant technologies\nMust be motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work with deadlines\nOPG Security Clearance requirements\nPosition may require travel to various work site locations (Domestic)\nWORK PERKS & BENEFITS\nCompany paid health and dental benefits\nOpportunity to participate in community and wellness initiatives\nTeam building events\nAccess to a dynamic Employee & Family Assistance Program\nOpportunity for ongoing professional development\nRewards and recognition\nScholarship Program for employee dependents\nCOMPENSATION\nThe expected salary range for this role is between $120,000 and $160,000. The starting salary will be based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education, experience and overall competencies. Salary is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
