The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of refrigeration/HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise. If you’re a self-starter with a positive attitude and a dedication to providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!\nB&M is committed continuous improvement and will endeavor to provide all training necessary to maintain the health and safety of our staff and support career development wherever possible.\nWe are primarily an HVAC company but do work on chillers and smaller refrigeration systems\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\nMaintain customers’ refrigeration systems.\nWork on RTUs and HVAC systems\nInspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves.\nPerform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.\nPerform electrical and gas system troubleshooting.\nMaintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records.\nResearch and resolve complex system problems.\nComplete assigned paperwork and forms\nConduct safety inspections, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations are followed.\nCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS\nCommunicates Effectively\nContinuous Learning\nCustomer Focus\nProblem Solving and Innovation\nValues and Respects Others\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nPrevious experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration technician.\nHVAC certification.\nBraising and soldering skills.\nKnowledge of local building codes.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.\nAdvanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.\nAbility to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.\nPhysically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nClean Class 5 SK Driver’s License and abstract\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility to always maintain a professional demeanor with fellow employees, customers, and stakeholders.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and mobile device applications\nBlack & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
