If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you\nReporting to the Quality Control Manager, the QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance in a high-paced pipe fabrication and CWB-certified welding shop located in Saskatoon, SK. The Inspector will play a key role in implementing and monitoring quality programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring all work aligns with applicable codes, client specifications, and internal standards.\nThis position focuses exclusively on quality assurance and control in pressure piping and structural/welded assemblies, ensuring full compliance with CSA, ASME, and CWB standards. In addition, organizational skills are required for timely verification and documentation of inspection and test results as outlined in the Inspection and Tests plans.\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nOversee all aspects of quality assurance and control in pipe fabrication and structural welding in accordance with CWB (CSA W47.1/W59) and ASME B31.1/B31.3.\nReview and interpret welding procedures, isometric drawings, and fabrication standards to ensure compliance.\nMonitor welding processes and techniques, including welder qualifications and procedure adherence.\nConduct fit-up, in-process, and final inspections of welded pipe spools, structural components, and related assemblies.\nIdentify and document nonconforming items and oversee corrective action plans.\nMaintain inspection and test records, weld maps, and traceability documentation.\nLiaise with third-party inspectors, clients, and regulatory bodies for code and contract compliance.\nVerify use and calibration of measurement and testing equipment.\nSupport material receiving inspections, including verification of heat numbers, MTRs, and dimensional checks.\nConduct internal audits and participate in external audits as required.\nParticipate in NCR investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions\nEmployment Requirements\nActive registration with the Canadian Welding Bureau as a Welding Inspector with CSA Standard W178.2-18\nInterpreting Isometric drawings, ability to measure fabricated components / assemblies, understanding welding symbols and weld faults.\nGood communication skills\nUnderstanding of welding symbols and weld defects\nWorking knowledge of CSA W47.1 and W59\nHold a valid CWB W59 Inspector Level I\nBasic knowledge of NDT processes\nEntry Level or 1-3 years of experience in workshop environment.\nKey Result Areas\nThe following key result areas:\nCompliance with requirements of B&M Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.\nEnsure 100% compliance with all clients, regulatory, and internal quality standards.\nReduce rework and repair rates through proactive inspection and quality planning.\nImprove traceability and documentation accuracy for all fabricated components.\nSupport continuous improvement through quality trend analysis and feedback loops.\nPlease be advised that a Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required as part of our employment screening and selection process.\nWe welcome and encourage applications from persons with disabilities.
