Working on site in our Aachen cleanroom, you will collaborate with Process Integration and Metrology teams to integrate thermal processes into downstream GFET and optical modules.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead high-temperature process development, layer property mapping and recipe optimization for graphene and other 2D materials\n\nDrive tool installation, commissioning, process qualification and system optimization in FabONE\n\nDevelop, qualify and stabilize repeatable graphene-growth recipes that meet defect-density and film properties specifications\n\nSupport the integration of graphene growth and transfer processes on target 300 mm substrate wafers\n\nEstablish SPC baseline charts and routine characterization protocols for daily process monitoring\n\nUse Design of Experiments (DOE), SPC and root-cause analysis to improve process performance and resolve process and/or equipment issues\n\nCollaborate with Process Integration and Metrology teams on film characterization using techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, optical microscopy, sheet-resistance measurement, AFM and SEM\n\nSupport inline defect reduction and the continuous improvement of process yield and stability\n\nCreate SOPs, safety protocols and technical documentation to reduce single-point-of-failure risks\n\nCross-train team members to establish reliable operational coverage for furnace processes\n\nWhat You Bring\nDeep expertise in high-temperature furnace operations and thermal processing\n\nHands-on experience with semiconductor process development, process control and baseline stabilization in a cleanroom fab environment\n\nExperience with CVD synthesis of graphene or other 2D materials is a strong advantage\n\nExperience with Thermal Furnace processes is an advantage\n\nA proven track record of commissioning and qualifying process tools and releasing processes into operation\n\nExperience using SPC and DOE methodologies, including tools such as JMP or Minitab\n\nFamiliarity with thin-film characterization techniques, including sheet-resistance measurement, Raman spectroscopy, optical microscopy, AFM or SEM\n\nStrong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills for process and equipment troubleshooting\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams\n\nComfortable working in an ISO 5/6 cleanroom while wearing full cleanroom PPE\n\nComfortable handling wafer cassettes, precursor canisters and high-temperature furnace hardware\n\nWhat We Offer\nThe opportunity to establish graphene-growth processes for FabONE from qualification through stable operation\n\nA hands-on, cleanroom-based role working with high-temperature processing and 2D-material technologies\n\nA potential career path towards the Senior IC or Technical Principal track, leading the thermal and 2D-material deposition technology roadmap, or towards engineering management leadership\n\nOur work culture\nPeople Over Processes.
