As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the site development of data centre projects, with a strong focus on roads, drainage, and utilities infrastructure.\nThis is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value developments—leading civil design delivery, shaping site infrastructure, and ensuring integration with building and mission-critical systems.\nROLE RESPONSIBILITIES (Tasks)\nTechnical Leadership & Design (Site Infrastructure)\nLead the design of civil and site works including roads, stormwater drainage, and underground utilities\nPrepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications\nDesign earthworks, grading, pavements, and utility networks (water, sewer, power corridors)\nEnsure designs align with project requirements, local authority standards, and best practices\nProject Delivery\nManage civil engineering packages from concept through detailed design to construction support\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, structural, BIM) to ensure integrated site design\nSupport authority submissions (e.g., PUB, LTA, BCA) and approvals processes\nProvide technical input during construction, site inspections, and issue resolution\nStakeholder Engagement\nLiaise with clients, contractors, and government authorities on design and delivery matters\nParticipate in technical meetings and provide expert guidance on civil engineering solutions\nSupport project managers in delivering outcomes aligned with client expectations\nMentorship & Team Development\nMentor junior engineers and support capability building within the civil team\nPromote technical excellence and knowledge sharing\nContribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve design efficiency, constructability, and sustainability\nSupport the adoption of digital engineering and BIM in civil design workflows\nStay updated with evolving standards, design tools, and infrastructure trends\nEDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENT\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline\nRegistered or eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB)\nFamiliarity with Singapore codes and authority requirements (e.g., PUB, LTA, BCA)\nMembership with Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) or equivalent preferred\nFamiliar with Civil 3D\nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nProven experience delivering civil infrastructure design for large-scale developments, including industrial, mission critical, or data centre projects.\nStrong technical expertise in site development design, including roads and access infrastructure, site grading and earthworks, surface water drainage and stormwater management, utility coordination and infrastructure planning, water, wastewater, and external services design\nExperience leading multidisciplinary design coordination with structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialist engineering teams.\nThorough understanding of Singapore authority submission processes and stakeholder engagement requirements.\nAbility to manage client relationships, participate in technical discussions, and represent the civil discipline during project delivery.\nExperience overseeing project delivery, resource planning, programme management, and design quality assurance.\nKnowledge of hydraulic modelling and flood mitigation strategies would be advantageous.\nPrevious experience in data centre, mission critical, industrial, or hyperscale projects is highly desirable.\nStrong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical excellence, programme requirements, and project budgets.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nProactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality and delivery excellence.\nGETTING RESULTS AND WORKING TOGETHER\nThe post holder will be expected to operate in line with our workplace values:\nAccountability -
