Our unique positioning has supported significant business growth, creating an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen an already high-performing technology team.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the development and modernisation of our applications, with a particular focus on building a new user interface for an existing application.\n\nThis is a senior and hands-on development role, requiring the ability to understand and analyse an existing system, design and develop a modern UI, and work closely with back-end developers, business analysts, testers and business users to deliver high-quality solutions.\n\nThe role will have an approximate 60% front-end / 40% back-end focus.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAs a Senior UI / Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for:\n\nDesigning and developing a new modern front-end interface for an existing application.\n\nAnalysing the existing application architecture, functionality and technical landscape to identify appropriate solutions and opportunities for improvement.\n\nDeveloping and maintaining front-end components and user interfaces, with a strong focus on usability, performance and maintainability.\n\nDeveloping and maintaining back-end services and application components in Java.\n\nWorking with React, Python and Java to deliver robust and scalable application solutions.\n\nCollaborating closely with back-end developers to ensure effective integration between the UI and underlying services.\n\nWorking with business analysts, testers, business users and management to understand requirements and ensure successful delivery of projects and change initiatives.\n\nEnhance, update and maintain existing applications in line with business and technology requirements.\n\nPerform and support application testing, ensuring that changes meet the required functional and technical standards.\n\nProvide 3rd-level support for software and applications developed by the team.\n\nParticipate in code management, version control, change management and release management processes.\n\nContribute to technical design decisions and promote appropriate development standards and best practices.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve application quality, performance, maintainability and user experience.\n\nContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and practices.\n\nStay informed about emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities where relevant.\n\nTechnology Environment\n\nThe role control\n\nChange and release management\n\nApplication testing and support\n\nCandidate Profile & Requirements\n\nThe successful candidate will ideally bring:\n\nSignificant professional experience as a Full Stack Java Developer, with strong expertise in both front-end and back-end development.\n\nStrong proficiency in Java, Python and SQL, preferably with experience working with Oracle databases.\n\nProven experience designing, developing and maintaining modern user interfaces, ideally using React.\n\nExperience analysing and working with existing applications and legacy systems, with the ability to understand existing architecture and design appropriate modernisation solutions.\n\nStrong understanding of front-end/back-end integration and full-stack application development.\n\nProven experience with code management and version control practices.\n\nPractical experience with IT delivery processes, including change management and release management.\n\nExperience working in an Agile or structured software development environment would be advantageous.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, analysts, testers, business users and management.\n\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.\n\nFrench and/or German language skills would be an added advantage.\n\nBasic understanding of Fund Administration and/or Transfer Agency processes would be advantageous.\n\nBasic knowledge or practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence and AI-enabled development tools would be an advantage.\n\nKey Competencies\n\nWe
