Aladdin Data is responsible for the firm’s data ecosystem, helping ensure data can be discovered, trusted, accessed and used effectively across investment, operations, analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and client solutions.\nOur mission is to build and operate the capabilities, governance and workflows that enable data producers and consumers across BlackRock to efficiently share and leverage high-quality data at scale. The team delivers trusted data products and services, enables producers to publish and distribute data through a scalable marketplace, provides well-governed data for AI and analytics, and establishes common standards, tooling and reusable services that help teams focus on business value rather than bespoke data infrastructure.\nYour role and impact\nWe are building the BlackRock Data Office within Aladdin Data to enable trusted, reusable and AI-ready data across Technology and Operations through the firm’s Data Marketplace.\nAs Data Product Director, you will help define, deliver and drive adoption of marketplace capabilities spanning onboarding, governance, stewardship, discovery, access, quality and reusable data products. You will connect user and governance needs with product strategy and delivery, helping create scalable capabilities that make high-quality data easier to publish, discover, trust and reuse across the organisation.\nYour responsibilities\nIn every role at BlackRock, you'll be expected to apply sound judgement and critical thinking to solve complex problems, adapt as the business evolves, and combine the curiosity to explore new approaches and technologies with the rigor to challenge the results. The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:\nProduct strategy and roadmap: Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for the Data Marketplace and enterprise data product ecosystem.\nDelivery and execution: Translate business and governance needs into product features, measurable outcomes and delivery plans.\nBacklog ownership: Prioritise the product roadmap and engineering backlog based on user needs, adoption goals and strategic value.\nStakeholder management: Partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance and business teams to align delivery with priorities.\nAdoption and enablement: Drive onboarding, documentation, demonstrations, release readiness and reuse of marketplace capabilities.\nAI and innovation: Shape capabilities that support AI-ready data, automation and scalable governance. \nYour experience\nBachelor’s degree in a technology, data, business or related discipline, with demonstrated depth of experience in Product Management, Data Product Management, Data Governance or a related discipline.\nExperience delivering, building or scaling enterprise data capabilities, including data marketplaces, data catalogues, governance, stewardship or enterprise data platforms.\nProven ability to define roadmaps, manage priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives, including large-scale data transformation, modernisation or platform adoption.\nExperience working with Agile methodologies and product management tooling.\nExcellent communication, presentation and executive stakeholder management skills.\nExtensive experience in asset management, capital markets, investment operations or financial services, with domain expertise spanning one or more relevant areas such as trading, accounting and performance, asset servicing, market and reference data, risk and analytics, regulatory reporting, sustainability, private markets or enterprise functions.\nOur benefits\nTo help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including: retirement investment and tools designed to help you in building a sound financial future; access to education reimbursement; comprehensive resources to support your physical health and emotional well-being; family support programs; and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.\nOur hybrid work model\nBlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
