Data is at the heart of Aladdin and increasingly the ability to consume, store, analyze and gain insight from data has become a key component of our competitive advantage.\nThe Private Markets Data Governance and Master Data Management team, a part of our Private Data Services (PDS) organization, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of private markets data for the Aladdin and eFront communities.\nWe are seeking a Director to lead the Insight Master Data Management (MDM) team, with team members located across Belgrade, Bangalore and Birmingham. This leader will be responsible for the people, processes and operating model supporting master data across the Insight platform and will play a critical role in scaling and evolving our MDM capabilities.\nThe successful candidate will combine strong people leadership with deep data-management expertise and an operational mindset. They will be responsible for ensuring that master data is accurate, consistent and delivered reliably, while continuously improving how the team operates as the business and platform evolve.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nLead the Insight MDM organization\nLead and develop a globally distributed team of MDM professionals.\nCreate a strong, connected team culture with clear accountability, priorities and development opportunities.\nBuild MDM expertise within the team and develop leaders who can effectively manage day-to-day delivery.\nEstablish clear operating rhythms and ensure effective collaboration across locations.\nOwn MDM service delivery\nProvide leadership and oversight for master data onboarding, standardization, maintenance and delivery across eFront Insight.\nEstablish effective controls and quality checks across MDM processes and address recurring data-quality or operational issues.\nEnsure the team can effectively support onboarding, business-as-usual operations, integrations and migrations.\nDefine and monitor service expectations and use metrics to identify opportunities to improve quality, timeliness and scalability.\nDrive transformation and scale\nIdentify opportunities to simplify and automate MDM processes and reduce manual intervention.\nDevelop scalable operating models that allow the team to support business growth without sacrificing data quality.\nPartner with Product and Engineering to evolve MDM capabilities, workflows and supporting technology.\nTranslate operational pain points and data requirements into clear priorities for process and technology improvements.\nChampion the use of data, AI, technology and automation to continually improve how MDM services are delivered.\nWhat you need\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree.\nSignificant experience in master data management, data operations, data management or a related discipline, ideally within financial services.\nDemonstrated experience leading and developing teams, preferably across multiple locations.\nStrong understanding of MDM concepts including entity mastering, data standardization, data quality, matching/deduplication, hierarchy management and data controls.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements and operational challenges into scalable solutions.\nDemonstrated ability to lead change and improve operational processes.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Operations and senior management.\nAbility to operate effectively in a complex, global organization and balance strategic priorities with operational execution.\nGood to have\nExperience with private markets, alternative assets or financial-services data management.\nExperience with large-scale data transformation, platform migration or data integration initiatives.\nFamiliarity with SQL, Python, Power BI or other data-analysis and automation tools.\nExperience applying automation, machine learning or AI to data-management problems.\nExperience working with globally distributed teams.\nOur benefits\nTo help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.\nOur hybrid work model\nBlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
