The team delivers assurance across application platforms, infrastructure environments, information security, data management, and technology-enabled business processes, helping build confidence that BlackRock meets its commitments to clients, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders.\nYour role and impact\nAs a Technology Audit Director, you will lead risk-based assurance activities across BlackRock’s technology landscape while serving as a trusted advisor to senior technology executives and business stakeholders. You will oversee the execution of the annual audit plan, drive enterprise-wide risk assessments, and provide leadership across complex technology and data-related audits.\nThis role requires strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and deep technology expertise to influence control environments and support business objectives. In addition, you will play a key leadership role in advancing the global technology audit function through innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development.\nYour responsibilities\nIn every role at BlackRock, you'll be expected to apply sound judgement and critical thinking to solve complex problems, adapt as the business evolves, and combine the curiosity to explore new approaches and technologies with the rigor to challenge the results. The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:\nProvide leadership and oversight as the Accountable Audit Director and Independent Audit Director for assurance reviews evaluating the controls supporting the design, development, implementation, and operation of technology solutions across the firm.\nServe as the primary relationship manager for senior technology stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of business strategies, operating models, key initiatives, and emerging risks.\nBuild and maintain strong partnerships with technology leadership, Information Security, Technology Risk Management, and other control functions to promote effective risk management and coordinated assurance activities.\nOversee risk assessments and the delivery of the annual audit plan across core technology, data, infrastructure, and technology-enabled business functions.\nLead, coach, and develop a team of audit professionals by providing meaningful feedback, mentorship, and growth opportunities while fostering a high-performance culture.\nManage resources effectively to optimize productivity, support talent development, and deliver high-quality assurance and advisory engagements.\nChampion process improvements that enhance efficiency, accountability, consistency, and the overall effectiveness of the audit function.\nYour experience\nBachelor’s degree required; undergraduate or graduate degree in management information systems, engineering, computer science, or a related technology discipline preferred.\nStrong understanding of technology architecture, processes, risks, controls, frameworks (CoBIT, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO, ITIL and COSO), and industry standards across, cloud environments, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, information security, data management and applications..\nDirect experience in technology audit, technology risk, or a related control function within a complex organization, preferably in financial services.\nProven ability to lead, develop, and retain teams of highly skilled professionals while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.\nStrong project management, organizational, and presentation skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience preparing audit reports, executive presentations, and stakeholder communications.\nDemonstrated ability to build credibility and maintain effective relationships with executive management, regulators, and cross-functional partners.\n\nFor New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$194,000.00 - USD$270,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
