MASS is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative environment where all employees are valued and empowered to succeed.\nPosition Overview\nBlackRock’s Models Infrastructure team is at the heart of evolving the model’s platform and elevating the client experience through strong governance and cross-functional leadership on behalf of the investment teams in MASS. As the Models business continues to grow, we’re expanding to meet increasing demand and accelerate key initiatives.\nAs an Associate, you will join a business team and contribute hands-on to technology enabled solutions that support the Models platform. You will work closely with partners across Investment, Infrastructure, and Technology teams to understand business use cases, requirements, and operating needs, translating them into robust, production ready solutions. Your work will focus on automating processes, improving data access and distribution, supporting releases and ongoing maintenance, and ensuring the stability and scalability of the models ecosystem within established governance and control frameworks.\nThis role provides exposure to client and product information and the Aladdin environment, with opportunities to influence platform scalability, automation, and engineering best practices as the business grows.\nKey Responsibilities\nModel Portfolio Platform\nLead strategic initiatives involving technology delivery that strengthen and evolve the investment operating platform within MASS, driving innovation and scalability.\n\nAdminister monitoring protocols to independently assess infrastructure resilience across platform domains.\n\nRepresent MASS in cross-functional teams supporting platform enablement activities.\n\nGather and analyze business requirements to improve processes and systems with a focus on usability for Strategists and Portfolio Managers.\n\nTriage and resolve production issues, manage partner concerns, and maintain clear runbooks for owned activities.\n\nBusiness Analysis and Technical Design\nDevelop and maintain strategic tools for Models Enablement.\n\nDevelop and maintain scripts and tools supporting end-to-end models data workflows.\n\nOwn and maintain model data gathering and distribution to stakeholders.\n\nSupport and execute end-to-end UAT testing to ensure successful production operations across release cycles.\n\nQualifications\nComputer Science degree/B.E/B.Tech, or equivalent experience.\n\nExperience in asset management or financial services, with exposure to multiple\n\nasset classes.\n\nStrong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nStrong interest in learning and leveraging Aladdin; prior experience is a plus.\n\n Skills & Technical Requirements\n3-7 years of relevant experience (Python + React)\n\nStrong hands-on development experience in Python, Streamlit, and Flask is required\n\nStrong hands-on experience with React and a solid understanding of API design; familiarity with Protocol Buffers is strongly preferred.\n\nWorking knowledge of AI tools, AI-assisted development practices, and practical implementation of AI-enabled solutions is strongly preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with machine learning concepts, Python-based ML workflows, and AI-driven implementations is preferred.\n\nDemonstrated curiosity and a strong inclination toward learning and adopting new technologies.\n\nProject and program management skills-including planning, coordination across teams, and delivery execution-are strongly preferred\n\nOur benefits\nTo help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.\nOur hybrid work model\nBlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
