This role combines operational leadership with engineering rigor, focusing on automation, reliability, and AI-driven operations to deliver highly resilient, scalable network services.\nThe NOE organization is evolving from reactive incident management to a proactive, automation-driven operating model, emphasizing continuous service improvement, reduced manual intervention, and increased engineering ownership of production environments.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Drive NOC → NOE Transformation\nLead the transition from a traditional, shift-based NOC to an engineering-led, automation-first operations function\n\nEstablish a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement\n\nShift focus from reactive incident handling to proactive prevention and reliability engineering\n\nAlign operations to Platform Engineering principles and product-based delivery models\n\n2. End-to-End Network Operations Ownership\nOwn 24x7 global network operations, ensuring stability, performance, and availability of network services\n\nLead incident management, escalation, and command-center coordination across regions\n\nEnsure rapid detection, triage, and recovery for all network incidents\n\nDrive consistent operational execution across global teams\n\n3. Automation, AI, and Operational Engineering\nBuild and scale automation frameworks, runbooks, and auto-remediation pipelines\n\nDrive adoption of AI-enabled operations (AIOps) including predictive alerting and intelligent triage\n\nReduce manual effort and shift workloads toward engineering and system improvement\n\nDeliver measurable improvements in automation coverage, alert noise reduction, and MTTR\n\n4. Reliability, Observability, and Performance Engineering\nDefine and track operational KPIs including MTTR, incident trends, and service stability metrics\n\nEstablish a data-driven observability and monitoring framework\n\nLead initiatives to improve alert quality, signal-to-noise ratio, and service health visibility\n\nEmbed reliability engineering practices into day-to-day operations\n\n5. Change Execution & Risk Management\nOversee execution of standardized and automated network changes\n\nReduce operational risk through pre-approved patterns, automation, and validation controls\n\nEnsure adherence to change management and compliance requirements\n\n6. Engineering Collaboration & Platform Integration\nPartner with Network Engineering, SRE, Security, and Platform teams\n\nEnable seamless handoffs through high-quality operational data, documentation, and incident context\n\nContribute to network modernization, cloud adoption, and infrastructure transformation programs\n\n7.
