This role requires advanced skills in test automation, performance testing, and mentoring junior team members.\nBase Salary: $5,750 - $7,000 USD per month\nWhat you’ll do\nCreate detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases\nReview tickets (bugs, enhancements, new features) and other technical documents to engage in each phase of the software development lifecycle\nCreate, run, repair, manual, and automated tests using frameworks like Playwright\nPlan and build automated testing frameworks that integrate with development workflows - determining what to automate (regression tests, API endpoints, critical user flows) and when to run which tests\nEstimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate, and perform quality testing activities\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional scrum teams and across the larger company\nDemonstrate best practices in everything you do, including meaningful test coverage and striving to ensure maintainability\nMentor junior QA team members and advocate for quality standards\nDesign and maintain test data strategies, including creating hundreds of thousands of Salesforce records for performance testing, managing data versions, and ensuring clean test environments\nDesign and execute performance testing strategies to identify system bottlenecks, load limits, and optimization opportunities using appropriate testing tools\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cumulus CI, MetaDeploy) to provide fast feedback on code changes and act as deployment gates\nWhat we look for\n5+ years of software testing experience with demonstrated expertise in test automation\n3+ years of testing on the Salesforce platform with a deep understanding of platform limitations\nExperience with test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright\nProficiency in programming languages for test automation\nExperience with CI/CD tools and processes (GitHub Actions, Cumulus CI, MetaDeploy preferred)\nPerformance testing experience with relevant tools\nExperience testing mobile applications using emulators, simulators, or cloud device farms with automation frameworks\nExperience managing test data lifecycles and keeping test environments synchronized with code deployments through version control systems\nExcellent English communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across departments, time zones, and remote teams\nSelf-directed and adaptable: stays current with testing methodologies, maintains composure under pressure, and thrives in fast-paced remote environments\nBonus:Salesforce admin or Blackthorn product experience\nWhat we offer\nAn incredible team of smart and supportive people\nA deep feeling of satisfaction and completion\nFully remote global team working from home\nStock options for every employee\nFlexible work week\n$400 office stipend\nMaternity/Paternity leave\nStudent loan debt assistance\nPledge 1% - time off during the year for helping nonprofits\nHealth insurance contribution (if in the US)\nChildren's 529 college fund assistance (if in the US)\nAbout Blackthorn\nBlackthorn turns any organization's Salesforce® CRM into event planning software powered by their connected data.
