This role combines deep data engineering and modeling expertise with hands-on experience in AI-enabled data ecosystems, driving the design of scalable, governed, and intelligent data solutions across the organization.\nWhat You'll be Doing:\nDesign and evolve enterprise data architecture strategies, including data models, data lakes, and data warehouses\nLead the design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads\nArchitect and implement Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across systems\nDesign and build modern data platforms using Databricks and Microsoft Fabric\nArchitect cloud-native data solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency\nDefine data governance standards, metadata management practices, and data lineage frameworks\nCollaborate with data science and AI teams to design data architectures that support machine learning, GenAI, and agentic system use cases\nPartner with business and technical stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable architectural solutions\nEvaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and best practices for data integration, storage, and processing\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams\nTroubleshoot complex data pipeline and platform issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term fixes\nDrive continuous improvement in data architecture, performance, and observability\nWhat You'll Need to Be Successful:\n10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles\nStrong hands-on experience designing data models (conceptual, logical, physical) for enterprise systems\nProven experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines\nHands-on experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions\nStrong expertise with Databricks for data engineering and analytics workloads\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric for unified data and analytics solutions\nSolid experience with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, RDS, Lake Formation)\nUnderstanding of AI/ML data requirements, including feature engineering and data preparation for GenAI and LLM-based systems\nStrong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices\nProficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python or other data engineering languages\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with data architecture in hybrid or multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS)\nFamiliarity with GenAI and agentic AI system architectures\nExperience with data cataloging and lineage tools\nKnowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines (DataOps)\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments\nBlanc Labs is enabling a digital future.
