Through innovation, science, technology, and maintaining a clear focus on people, we make mobility possible.\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Engineer to join our growing QC team at our brand new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.\nThe role:\n\nAs Quality Control Engineer, you will play a pivotal role, improving and developing the QC Department. You will provide technical support to the team and wider business.\nKey duties and responsibilities:\nProgramming, operating and managing CMMs and all related tasks.\nWriting and proving out own programmes without supervision.\nProducing, interpreting and analysing CMM results\nLiaising with all required interfaces in particular Design and Manufacturing Engineering as applicable \nWriting Quality plans for inspection department\nWriting work instructions for the QC team\nDelivering training to QC staff and other manufacturing staff on inspection techniques. \nCarrying out investigations as required and supporting with solutions via non-conformance process \nAssisting where required in quality improvement with subcontractors and suppliers \nMaintenance / management of the current company CMM programmes Assisting in the pursuit of companywide ownership and implementation of quality improvement and corrective action systems\n\nWhat are we looking for?\n\nAs Quality Control Engineer, you will have the following:\n\nKey skills and experience:\nFully conversant with Engineering drawings/specifications and CAD models, ability to measure complex parts against all \nMS Office skills to an intermediate level \nDegree or ONC/HNC qualified equivalent (Desirable)\nKnowledge CMM/VMM software \nUnderstanding of CMM programming philosophy\nDemonstrable experience in a measurement technologies \nExperience of implementing control systems and procedures to manage variation. \nStrong communication skills\nAbility to work as part of a team and independently\n\nWhat can we off you?
